25.01.2022 It's a really tough time for celebrants at the moment. Many weddings and related activities cancelled or postponed until late 2021 or 2022. However, I have been busy with funerals and I have to say it is such a privilege and an honour to walk a little part of a grieving family's journey with them to create a beautiful life celebration for their loved one. These past weeks have seen wonderful rituals and memory tables presented. A stunning painting by a 16 year old to represent a loving marital relationship, whisky, beer and champagne toasts.

25.01.2022 So happy for my long time friend Jess - married in Derby UK last week. Wish I could have been there with you and Katie to celebrate. All the best for a happy life together and how about we renew those vows when you return to Australia sometime?

25.01.2022 You cannot go past booking Debra Kelly Bridal Makeup Artist for your wedding (or special event). She is sensational, easy to engage with & one incredibly talented professional.

21.01.2022 It was an absolute pleasure to have prepared the marriage ceremony of this wonderful couple, Emily and Daine. We had much fun in writing the ceremony which took place this weekend at Bridges in Hurstbridge. The day was superb, floral arrangements divine, bridal party exquisite and much happiness and joy was experienced. It was really inclusive of their guests and many a laugh was to be had. The ritual "Tying of the Knot" worked a treat and this was a lovely touch. I wish Daine and Emily a lifetime of love as they begin their journey as a wedded couple.

19.01.2022 What's new ? My business is now to be known as 'Interwoven Celebrancy' by Deborah McKenzie. For me there is something about the cycle of life, walking alongside to support couples and families in times of both joy and sorrow. We are all interlinked/interwoven in life experiences because of our humanity. Our lives are in a constant state of transformation and growth - we move with the ebb and flow. The wings hold gratitude and the presence is calm! I cannot thank Sunshine and Jacob from Vessel Studio enough for the amazing work they have done to bring my ideas and thoughts into a divine suite of branding/logo material. https://www.facebook.com/vesselstudio.com.au

05.01.2022 In the past week I have conducted two funerals. I feel so privileged ‘holding’ families through a really difficult time & doing my utmost to create a ‘Celebration’ for the Life of their loved one. Re-living wonderful memories & ‘story-making’ for them is such a treasure. I am truly blessed to be involved in this profession.

04.01.2022 Just received this beautiful testimonial via email from Megan and Matt about Scarlett's Naming Day Ceremony. "Deb was fantastic through the whole process of planning our Daughter's naming day ceremony. Deb was very thorough and included all of our wishes, hopes, dreams and wants when it came to deciding on every detail of her ceremony. Deb was an absolute gem, such a kind and caring person who always worked with our best interests at heart. We will definitely be using her services again. Thankyou Deb for creating memories for both our little girl and our family to treasure forever. "

03.01.2022 Getting excited! Tomorrow I am conducting a Baby Naming Ceremony & it’s such a privilege. Love my opportunities in this gig! Stay tuned for sweet pics.

02.01.2022 I was so impressed when the Groom arrived at his wedding ceremony this weekend looking incredibly dapper; complete with a Wooden Bow Tie. Yes, you read correctly. Daine's tie was a work of art and looked striking on his white shirt and contrasting to his Blue jacket. The central colour of Burgundy complimented the Bride's attendants. When chatting to him about this, he said that he made it for himself and his Groomsmen. Daine also makes wooden cufflinks, tie bars and card wallets - all handmade and customised. Check out his FB page. You can also find him on Instagram and Etsy. A very talented guy! https://www.facebook.com/WoodenTieGuy/

01.01.2022 What a joyous occasion we celebrated on Friday March 23 2018. The wedding of Niels & Holly in Perth was simply spectacular. It was so personal & very inclusive of all family & friends. It was an absolute privilege for me to conduct the ceremony and a pleasure preparing it over the months leading up to it for these two awesome young people.
