25.01.2022 DON'T IGNORE THE SNORE Sleep Apnea is a very common, but very serious issue. It can happen in all ages and you don't have to be overweight to have it! Watch out for the signs and symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea, these include:... * Excessive daytime sleepiness. * Loud snoring, especially if it disturbs others * Observed episodes of stopped breathing during sleep * Abrupt awakenings accompanied by gasping or choking. * Awakening with a dry mouth or sore throat. * Morning headache. * Difficulty concentrating during the day. We do also offer alternatives to CPAP machines for OSA, call us today for a consultation on 49 57 59 57ss to discuss the alternatives.

25.01.2022 My weekend project sorted. They had to come to work with me today. Lucky I had my garden organised a while back. Hopefully they make it. What is everyone else up to?

24.01.2022 This is our iTero digital scanner. This creates highly accurate digital images of your teeth, a lot of times avoiding the need for molds that we used to take. We love how much quicker and efficient, it makes everything.

20.01.2022 We have improved the existing composite veneers, by designing these to fit the patient's face, improved the shape and colour. Bonded composite veneers can transform your smile, with minimal change to your natural teeth.

19.01.2022 Yesterday the Prime Minister and Mental Health Commission said that in the last 6 weeks, over 1 million Australians have accessed mental health services in person and online. Those with mental illness, the vulnerable and many other people, are feeling the effects of living with the uncertainty and fear currently. There are still support services available at the moment. ... There are some resources below, talking to your GP doctor first is a good place to start. 14.01.2022 Composite veneers are a great way of improving your smile, with minimal interruption to your natural teeth. We recently improved the existing veneers, by smile designing to fit the patients face, as well as improving the shape and the colour.

13.01.2022 Who remembers these? We used to have these (as a child, not for a while I promise ), our poor teeth. https://www.facebook.com//a.50239659316/3844303932307108/

12.01.2022 Dr Seuss, apart from having a brilliant mind and an ability to engage all ages, had a 'thing' about teeth. He has written books about them and he had written quiet a few quotes as well. I always wondered why, as it is a strange thing to have an interest in. Supposedly during a routine dental appointment in 1983, his dentist noticed a small cancer on his tongue, which he is was completely unaware of. If you know anyone who have had mouth cancer, the long term consequences on the mouth and teeth are nasty. It has devastating effects on speech and eating, which in turns affects quality of life. These are the things we like the most! Maybe it made him appreciate teeth after what he went through.

06.01.2022 Kelly has been busy rescheduling patients. Thank you everyone for your patience. It is so nice to have the team back together (mostly).

04.01.2022 I had to go into ‘town’ for the first time in what seems like forever on Friday. It was quiet, which it needs to be for now unfortunately. But it gave me a chance to have time to look around and admire how beautiful where we live is. Our lives are always so busy, rushing around doing a million things, we don’t have time to appreciate things. How lucky are we to live somewhere quiet, clean, safe and peaceful? I am so lucky to have this as my home town. The weather is perfect right now. There are so many amazing places in the world, which everyone is in a hurry to see, but our backyard is pretty amazing too, never forget that.

04.01.2022 Which bird are you? I am an owl.

04.01.2022 A colleague recently shared this on facebook... I don't think people are aware, how much loosing teeth ages us...

03.01.2022 No need to do this. We are back to being able to do our usual treatments and ready to serve you for all your dental needs. If you haven't been in, in the last few weeks, you will notice some changes: a pre appointment screening questionnaire we will ask you to please use alcohol hand rub on arrival and a pre appointment mouthrinse... no magazines/ ipads/ toys/ entertainment in the waiting room for infection control reasons (although we still have spotify and if you ask nicely we can entertain you ) we will ask you not to come early to your appointment please keep distance from other patients (that aren’t your family) please don't bring anyone to your appointment, unless accompanying someone under the age of 18, or someone with special needs. Thank you for your support and cooperation. We will be in contact with people who have missed appointments shortly. In the meantime, if you have any questions please phone us on 4957 5957. Thank you!

02.01.2022 Looks can be deceiving. The first photo (before) the teeth look okay and the patient only had some mild sensitivity. Look at the size of those cavities between the teeth! The third tooth from the top, has decay almost to the nerve (which means pain and root canal). Teeth can feel fine and not be. That is why we take xrays to check between the teeth, in the areas you can't see. The red arrows are pointing to the areas of decay. It is also why regular dental check ups are i...mportant, as things can go undetected until it is too late. We have been using rubber dam (the blue thing you can see) for our fillings for many years. It is a lot more comfortable for you (stops things going down the back of your throat), as well as being 'cleaner' so the fillings are better. We are well equipped to deal with the current recommendations and use of rubber dam, as we have already been doing this for some time. Flossing can help prevent these sort of cavities.

01.01.2022 Finally some flowers.
