25.01.2022 Update on Baby Theo. I know that you all all waiting to hear where our raffle and donations are at ... I am completely overwhelmed and want to thank my personal friends who have donated from far and wide, my staff and all of Debs Dolphins Swimming Families - we have raised $3275 for this lovely family ... If you still want to take raffle tickets or have forgotten to deposit after asking me for tickets, please do so. Theo has his cannula out, he has tested clear for infection, he had to have an EEG and x-ray today. He is doing better each day with lower dosages of meds. He is also going to be transitioned back to bottle feeds which is wonderful. He is sucking on his dummy a lot more and his little voice is back. The rehab team will have a plan in place for tomorrow. Our prayers are working so please dont forget them. Thank you and lots of love. Deb Here is todays cuteness overload!

25.01.2022 Update on baby Theo and our raffle. I am overwhelmed by everyones generosity - THANK YOU We have now raised $2295. Please keep the prayers going. ... Baby Theo has had a good day. No seizures! Hes starting to wake more and make a few slight babble sounds. The hospital staff are watching him and monitoring his breathing while he fights off the pneumonia and withdrawing from the very strong sedation medications he was on. They took his catheter out and now are weighing his wet nappies. Moving to the ward tomorrow or during the weekend is still on the cards.

25.01.2022 Hi all. We have waited 4 months for this! So looking forward to our term starting tomorrow. ... Just a reminder that all Monday swimmers start next week and our term finishes on a Monday, so that they have not missed out on any lessons. Thank you. Deb

25.01.2022 News today on Baby Theo. He is doing so well. He is gaining weight, and needs to go onto medium flow bottles now. (Upgrade from slow teats - well done Theo!) The occupational therapist came and did some activities for eyesight and upper body strength (grabbing things etc) - he did very well! ... He has a customised soft collar to make it more comfortable for him. He will have an ultrasound of his head tomorrow to check his progress. He is loving his baths now. Below is a cute pic of him in the bath....I took a screenshot of a gorgeous video his mom posted. Made me so happy to see how he loves water, cant wait until we can have him in the pool having fun with us.

25.01.2022 Hi Parents. This business is one of our swimming mums. She is so talented. Check out all the cute bubs and toddler clothes. I love their Christmas outfits for little boys and little girls. Just gorgeous! ... Happy shopping! https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/littlebloomersau

25.01.2022 I really love watching the fun we have at the end of our lessons at the end of a term. Love all our swimmers. What a great term we have had....nearly over and then onto our holiday program and a very busy term 4.

24.01.2022 Update on our Debs Dolphin family and their baby. He is still in an induced coma. He had a repeat cranial ultrasound with no changes which is positive. They are reducing one of the medications which makes him stay asleep. His parents said they have noticed him slightly moving his arms, legs and head like a sleeping baby does and he even squeezed his mums finger today which his mum said was just amazing ... All being well, on Monday they plan to take his breathing tubes out and wake him completely. His parents are very thankful for everyone who is thinking of them and sending them wishes. Thank you God for hearing all our prayers. Please keep praying for this beautiful family. Thank you so much everyone.

23.01.2022 A few late posts to congratulate two of our swimming families who welcomed new bubs into the world during COVID 19 - that will be a memory in itself! Congratulations to the Hall family on their baby daughter and Congratulations to the Funnell family on their baby boy. I know the joy babies bring to you, enjoy all the cuddles, the sleepless nights, the milestones and all the memories you create. Hope that the big brothers in both families are loving their siblings.... Lots of love. Deb

23.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. I have not quite completed what I had set out to do by today so unfortunately everyone will need to wait until the New Year for their confirmation emails regarding Term 1. I am taking a break, starting today and ending on 3rd January. During this time I will not be sending emails or answering any messages but promise to get back to you in the week starting 4th January.... I wish you all a very Blessed Christmas, hoping that you make wonderful memories, have lots of laughter and most importantly spend precious time with loved ones. All my love and best wishes Deb

22.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins family. One of our swimming mums makes these earrings. Have a look at the link below and spoil yourself with a pair or few if you can. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.... Deb https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/LetsPlayTagShop

22.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. Shout out to Eyes on You Security. If any of you need cameras around your home, Tim, who is one of our swimming dads, does a great job. Hopefully we will catch these speedsters up and down our road so I can motivate to Council to put speed humps in and keep our excited little swimmers safe when running down our foot path to our swimming gate. ... Enjoy your week. Deb

22.01.2022 Update on our Debs Dolphins Family and their baby. I got to visit his parents at the hospital yesterday - it was so lovely to see them. Their bub had 3 seizures overnight. They have found out the infection, it is a common one in hospitals so they are giving him the correct antibiotics for it. They have moved his breathing tube from his mouth to his nose to be less invasive. They will hopefully be waking him up today or tomorrow. ... Thank you to those who are sending love and offering to help, his parents appreciate every message and every prayer and are so very thankful for your love and support. Please keep praying for all of them. Thank you.

19.01.2022 Update on baby Theo. He has had another good day today. The neurosurgery team is happy with his progress. The dietician happy with him feeding from a bottle and doing well with the feeds. The occupational therapy team is providing him with toys and activities to see how he responds. The physio will be back tomorrow. Tomorrow baby Theo will have a camera put down his throat to see if there was any vocal cord damage from the ventilator. Extra prayers please as they say this is ...not a nice procedure. His mum said he was kicking and splashing in his bath tonight and cant wait for him to swim with us. Just look at this gorgeous happy photo. Please keep praying for this beautiful family. Thank you.

19.01.2022 Update On Baby Theo: Praise God! Baby Theo has moved into a ward. His dad will be at home while his mum stays in hospital with him. The nursing staff have said it will probably be a month more in hospital for them whilst Baby Theo undergoes rehabilitation. His mum got to cuddle him for so long today and she said it was just the best. ... Our raffle has hit $2500, how amazing is that! Thank you to my friends and Debs Dolphins families for donating and or supporting this family and little bub. Please continue to pray for them all as I know Emma and Jake will miss being together each night. But I am sure Tom (big brother) will love having Jake back at nights. Here is the cutest little photo of Baby Theo taken today. Please continue to heal him God. Amen

19.01.2022 Just received an update on baby Theo. Keep praying cos God is working. Thank you Update:... Theo has been taken off the ventilator! He has had no seizures in over 48 hours! He is currently on hi-flow oxygen and has slowly been weened off from 100% down to 40% since 3pm. They plan to remove him completely off it by the morning. He currently has his anti-seizure medication twice a day and are trying to find the optimal dosage for him. This will take time. His mum, dad and the nurse noticed him give the biggest smile today. It was the best moment they have had in a while. Baby Theo will be in ICU for another day or two if all continues to go well. Then he will transfer to the ward, which means his dad will have to come home and his mum can stay with him Then the hard work starts with rehabilitation. Todays picture below.

19.01.2022 We are due to start our holiday program in the morning. Lets hope that the bad weather disappears and we have a great week ahead....

18.01.2022 As much as I am missing all my swimmers, I am really grateful that I can stay warm indoors today. keep safe in this weather everyone. Lots of love to you.

18.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. Do we have any computer gurus that know technical data about computers? I need a question about my computer answered please. Thank you. Deb

18.01.2022 PLEASE DONT STOP THOSE PRAYERS please also pray for strength for his parents as this must be a very trying time. Update on our Debs Dolphins Family and their bub. After a good day and a half, this afternoon, he went a few steps back and either has a collapsed lung or a chest infection. Most likely infection though, they will find out more tomorrow. ... Due to the infection, he had 3 more seizures. Not too full on but still seizures. If he has another seizure they will be starting the sedation medication again. This means they wont be removing the breathing tubes tomorrow. Most likely mid week. They dont want to stress his lungs out as that could cause another seizure. His mum said he woke up, eyes opened and smiled a few times. What a lovely moment for his mum.

17.01.2022 Thank you Debs Dolphins Family and friends. We have just hit $1100 and I know we have more coming. Please keep donating or taking raffle tickets. Every dollar will help this lovely family. I will continue to update you all on Baby Theo.... The nurses made him a banner for above his bed in ICU. How cute is that. Lots of love everyone! Deb

17.01.2022 Congratulations to the Italiano family on the birth of their precious baby boy, Julian. A gorgeous little brother to Sebastian. Thank you for letting us meet him, enjoy all the baby cuddles.

17.01.2022 Update on baby Theo. He is still in an induced coma due to seizure activity. His parents are awaiting more test results. His dad got to give him a sponge bath today. The nurses said that he was moving normally today when he was less sedated and breathed on his own for a little while too.... Please continue to pray and thank you for your prayers so far.

15.01.2022 Update on baby Theo. What great news today. He did very well with his nasal endoscopy. His swallow is good as well as his vocal chords The speech pathologist and ENT specialist were pleased. The nasal-gastric tube will be removed soon.... The occupational therapist came and played with lots of toys and lights with Theo. It wore him out! He is allowed out the ward so they went for a walk and saw all the lights around the hospital - he loved it! He has been moving and giggling all day too and his mum says that is so good to witness again.

15.01.2022 Update on Baby Theo: His hiflow oxygen has been removed. Rehab will start tomorrow. His dad is staying with him tonight so that his mum can spend the night with their eldest and catch up on things at home. Our raffle and donations are going so well, will update on the total tomorrow. ... Please keep praying for them. Thank you

14.01.2022 We had rain and sunshine and wind today, BUT.... Oh was it good to see our swimmers. Nothing like hearing the excitement of our swimmers coming down the path to enter our swim school! ... So very blessed to LOVE what I do.

13.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins family. An update on our swimming family and their little bub. Lots of love to you.

12.01.2022 We are having a super special week this week. Not only is it our end of term but we are also giving students who have been swimming with us for 5 years and more recognition. It has been lovely for me to go back to the first time we met and relive all the wonderful memories of many students. Below is one of our students that we are celebrating 5+ years with. ... I am so blessed to have shared life with so many more students for this period of time! Well done to all our other students who are celebrating this milestone with us!

12.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. An update on our swimming mum and her baby. He has had his surgery, a craniotomy and removal of haematomas around the brain. There is still a lot of swelling, he also has damage to spinal ligaments. He is in an induced coma at present and his parents are staying at the hospital with him. ... PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR THIS FAMILY. Thank you so much. Deb

11.01.2022 A fun staff Christmas function was held last night. We had Stuart (Deb's husband and silent partner in the business) join for his first ever time. We missed Teacher Dee, Teacher Kat and Teacher Danni who had prior commitments. We started with a Bocce Championship with Teacher Duncan and Teacher Meg as Team captains. Well done to Teacher Duncan's team on the win. ... We then ended off with a great dinner at Something Italian with our very fun gift exchange. Poor Teacher Sarah and Teacher Cherie had their gifts stolen from them at least 5 times and 3rd year in a row Teacher Gregg thought he had secured the best gift and it was stolen from him at the last minute by Teacher Tarryn. A lot of laughs and a great night. And a few fun photos below.

09.01.2022 HI All, thank you for your patience. To give you all an update on Term 4 : - I am about to finish the term 4 schedules for current swimmers - emails will start being sent out from tomorrow. - For everyone on our waitlist, please can I thank you for your patience in advance. We are quite a popular swim school so I am trying my best to see who we can fit in where. There are a few spots during the week still open so I just need to see who will fit the vacancy due to the level or... stage that will be taught in the lesson. We should be in touch in the next few days. Next week we have a booked up holiday program so I will endeavor to complete what I have said during the course of the week if you haven't heard from us before. Thank you so much and if there are any further questions, please just ask. Take care Deb -

08.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. A lot of our swimming students attend this school so if any of you would like to support this production (picture below) that will be great. I have been told that it will be awesome. Thank you. Deb

08.01.2022 Hi All. We are having a day off from work tomorrow prior to our holiday program next week. We have sent out all our family of one swimmers who are swimming at Debs Pool , we haven't sent to those who are swimming at John Butler. We have sent all our family of 3 and 4 emails and and special condition emails.... We haven't yet done our family of two emails - these will all be finished by the latest on Tuesday evening. We have tried contacting some people on our waitlist, but haven't had many responses, so we will be putting up the list of openings that we have (unfortunately there are not many) by Wednesday (if we still haven't heard back from people) and these openings will go on a first come first serve basis. Thank you again for all your patience in this long, personalised process. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Deb

Physio came by this morning and did some exercises with Theo. Then Theo had an ultrasound of his head! They wrapped him up in a warmed blanket and he fell asleep. His mom said he was so cute ( look at the photo below) Music therapy came and baby Theo LOVED it. His eyes lit up and the smiles were incredible. His mum says she will have to pick up her guitar when they are home and play for Theo! Tomorrow Theos mum will be taught first aid for seizures. The doctors/specialists/nurses and his family are so proud of Baby Theo. We are too.

06.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. Do we have any house cleaners in our swimming family? My home needs a weekly clean and I would love to support someone who has supported us. Thank you... Deb

06.01.2022 Hi Swimming Families. I hope you are all well. I wanted to let you know that you will be seeing some new faces at Debs Dolphins.... We have Teacher Danni who is a competitive swimmer and a qualified swim teacher. She will be working on a Monday afternoon at John Butler. For the first few weeks she will have Deb in the pool with her whilst she gets used to our system and all the kiddies. We also have Tarryn Lowis and Cherie Luitingh training to become teachers in time for Term 4. They will be with Deb in the pool throughout her shifts during the week and are very excited to be joining Debs Dolphins. Cherie has also been brought on board to help Deb with admin, so will be working 2 mornings a week at the moment. So if you get any emails, messages or phone calls from her, you at least know who she is. We love welcoming new staff members to our Debs Dolphins Family and we hope they enjoy our swimming family as much as Deb and our current staff do. Heres to another great week of swimming ahead. Lots of love to you all.

05.01.2022 Hey Debs Dolphins Family. I know we just recently did a raffle and raised a lovely amount for Baby Theo but I am asking if we can "dig deep" and help somebody else again. Please support this next raffle. ... A friend of mine and my youngest daughter Kirstys best friends family has lost their house to a fire today. So to help them out, we will be doing a raffle for a free term of swimming in term 4. One ticket is $5, 3 tickets $10 and if you would like to donate money you can do that too. Thank you for your support in advance. You can let me know lucky numbers and/ or amounts below and when depositing, please put the reference as "term 4 raffle" Lots of love to you all. Deb

05.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. I have had permission to post a picture of the little bub that I have been giving daily updates on. The reason I wanted permission is because I would like to hold a raffle for a free term of swimming (Term 3, when we get to start again) and/or ask for donations for this lovely family from our swim school.... We have all been affected by COVID 19, but I do believe that we could all spare a few dollars for Baby Theo. To recap, baby Theo (3 months old) had brain surgery last week and has been in an induced coma since. He has had a few seizures, so he hasnt been allowed to be woken yet. They have started reducing his sedation medication and have moved the breathing tubes from his mouth to his nose so that it isnt as invasive. He has a chest infection presently so they have not been able to take the breathing tubes out yet. He remains in ICU. His parents, Jake and Emma arent sure how long Theo will have to remain in ICU and are not sure what future expenses may be needed. They are not working currently and are staying at PCH whilst baby Theo remains in ICU. Baby Theos big brother Tom has swum with us for the last 6 years. Please let us help this family. We will do a raffle as normal. 1 ticket is $5 ; 3 tickets is $10. If you would just like to donate money that is fine too. We will use Debs Dolphins Swim School PTY Ltd bank details and please put the reference as BABY THEO. I will do the draw in the second week of June to allow enough time for donations and payments to come through. Thank you all so much. Lots of love as always. Deb

05.01.2022 Update on baby Theo. The nasal-gastric tube came out! No more clonidine medication.... Hes chugging back good amounts of milk and taking his medications orally Tomorrow is a big day as they will see all the teams and discuss a game plan! Exciting times ahead. Theodore got to see his grandparents today - it was a special day PLEASE KEEP PRAYING THAT THERE WILL BE TOTAL HEALING - THANK YOU Look at how cute he is looking!

02.01.2022 HI all my Debs Dolphins Family. Well after 10 weeks of not doing too much work thanks to COVID 19 , I am now full on into our term 3 schedules and boy oh boy, have had a very busy week trying my best to sort things out. Still got a way to go but at least am making progress. I am still waiting on John Butler to confirm that we can start in Term 3 so please hold thumbs and cross toes! I am preparing our schedules as if we can. ... We have a few teachers who cant work as many shifts as usual and I am also waiting on other teachers to confirm shifts (but as they are waiting on their uni schedules due to COVID delaying things, this is causing a few delays for me too! ) Good news though, I will be training up two new teachers and they will hopefully be assessed during term 3 and if not starting some time in term 3 will be ready for term 4 when we are hopefully completely back to normal. (cant wait for that) Also due to certain restrictions still being in place, we are losing a lesson every morning and every afternoon at my home pool due to longer break times required during lessons. At John Butler, provided we can go ahead, we will have a system in place that our door person will manage so thankfully wont lose a lesson there but due to a teacher shortage, we may have only 3 lessons in the pool area at a time. Hopefully we can still help all our current swimmers who are wanting to swim. (Hold thumbs and cross toes again) For those people who have sent enquiries through, thank you for your patience in advance. If we have any spots available, I will get back to you as soon as I know. Hope you are all well. We are getting closer to seeing you all again. Lots of love Deb

02.01.2022 What a great holiday program week we had. We made it, even when the weather didn't play ball. Thank you parents for your ongoing support of Debs Dolphins. We will be posting all the vacant spots that we have for Term 4 tomorrow and these will go on a first come first serve basis. We have tried contacting most people on our waitlist, if we have missed you, please let us know. Current swimming families, a reminder that you should have all received your emails and deposits wer...e due yesterday. Look forward to seeing everyone on 12th October for the start of our term. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Deb

02.01.2022 Praise God for good news again today for Baby Theo. Please keep praying that Baby Theo will be healed completely and the Early Intervention Team will not be needed in the future. Update: The Neurosurge team have stopped neuro observations! He has had more reductions on the medications. Hes doing so well.... He is allowed to demand feed now, so his mum says she is hoping for long sleeps overnight like he used to. Occupational therapy came by and dropped off some contrast pictures. Baby Theo loved them! And the best part - wait for it! ..... They will be able to go home sometime next week! (As long as baby Theo continues to do well!) Once home they will be closely followed by the Early Intervention Team as an outpatient which is great as they will need the support for the future.

02.01.2022 Great news Debs Dolphins Swimming Family. John Butler has given us permission to resume swimming in term 3. We will have to follow a COVID-19 guideline but we will manage this. I have sorted out most of our schedules, just waiting on a few teachers to confirm their shifts. As soon as this is confirmed, I will be sending out emails regarding Term 3.... Thank you for your patience, and we cant wait to see everyone again both at John Butler and Debs Home Pool. Have a great weekend. Deb

01.01.2022 Hi Debs Dolphins Family. It is with such sadness that I write this post. Our swimming dad, Andy, who we had a raffle for last year, passed away last night. What a champion Andy was, living this last year in Victory and sadly being told just 2 weeks ago that his cancer had returned. ... If any of you met Andy, you would have known what an inspiration he was. And what a wonderful husband to Laura and father to his two precious little kids. Please can I ask you to keep this beautiful family in your prayers as they go through this very sad time and learn how to do life without Andy. Andy, you are a legend, I will personally miss our chats about life and God and your friendly and always happy, smiling face. I was honoured to call you a friend. Rest in Peace. Deb
