23.01.2022 Veg already for the morning juice. Just need to add fruit, kale and spinach , ginger and turmeric. Now fresh cut up is best in the morning but if you’re like me my mornings are busy. This way we still have the juice.

21.01.2022 Do you know someone who at the end of the year is tired, over it, stressed out or just needs some time out to be pampered. 2020 has been a difficult and life changing year for many. Show and spread the love at Christmas by purchasing a gift voucher for remedial massage or hot stone massage. It is the ideal gift. Let the muscles be soothed by the long strokes of massage while the mind follows and relaxes. Ah! I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love a massage. Phone us on 41236699 to purchase and collect or we can email or post.
21.01.2022 It is written. Build others up.
21.01.2022 Some good ideas here
20.01.2022 um the swimming coach is setting me higher goals....harder work, less fun but I focus on my goal which is a triathlon next year.
20.01.2022 One of my favourite salady type foods is homemade coleslaw. I just chop up cabbage, carrot, celery and red onion in my Thermie then I can just add a small amount of organic Mayo. Add a tin of red salmon and a healthy lunch is made. Another favourite is kale and spinach. I add it to stir fries, omelettes, and juice it or add it to smoothies. Adding superfoods to your diet doesn’t have to be time consuming. It just takes organisation and dedication to eat better and healthier. Go for it.
19.01.2022 The Maryborough Mural Project just got awarded the Silver Medal in the Australian Street Art Awards. My friend Liz Lowrie and I started this project about 6.5 years ago. If you live local, do the trail and recommend it to your family and friends and if you are from out of town come and visit us and stay a few days. Maryborough is a great place.

18.01.2022 A lovely afternoon yesterday at the Brolga Theatre supporting International Women’s Day with an event held by Zonta Club of Maryborough. The speaker who was raised and educated in Maryborough was very entertaining.
18.01.2022 Thank you Nicole Delvallee They hide everything from us We are told NOTHING... For future moms Taken on a wall: If I knew. Proof that we need to unlearn everything and release... Did you know that? Do the research yourself. Kirill Rebjew: As a former doctor, I want to tell you something... There is an unspoken and unofficial rule in maternity - hospitals - to cut the umbilical cord immediately. But you are in no way obligated to! That's because the newborn baby is in a condition of double breath at the time of birth. First of all he gets oxygen and nutrients through the umbilical cord. His lungs are not fully activated yet, he gradually starts breathing air through his nose, then slowly activates his lungs. What do doctors do "? The umbilical cord is cut immediately after birth, cutting the supply of oxygen and nutrients. Baby suffocates, starts taking deep breaths and tries to activate her lungs: it hurts! In addition, the blood found in the placenta must pass in the baby! If the umbilical cord is cut immediately, the baby won't have enough blood right after birth. However, the blood in the placenta contains the natural spectrum of baby immunity. In other words, if the umbilical cord is cut immediately, part of the baby's natural immunity is deliberately denied. For what? Such a child, who doesn't get total immunity at first, is likely to have many lifelong health problems. This in turn means that medication can now tell parents that the child now needs vaccines, tablets, mixtures and surgery. The more children and people in poor health, the more patient-patient medicine has. Nothing personal just business. Umbilical cord must NOT be cut until 1 HOUR AFTER BIRTH. Doctors don't think about it. With good fictional reasons, they want this to end as soon as possible. Medical practice wishes umbilical cord and placenta to stay as fresh as possible. Now the question: why do drugs need fresh placenta and umbilical cord? Costly medical and cosmetic preparations are made from their fabrics. This is one of the main reasons why medical practice doesn't want people at home to give birth in a comfortable and familiar atmosphere. If more and more people did it anyway, drugs would lose an important source of income. This article is not only meant to educate pregnant women and fathers, but also cosmetics enthusiasts who, in their ignorance, apart from all chemicals, coat these cosmetic ingredients on their faces." [Source: Kirill Repjew] Commentary; Hélène Thibault My daughter gave birth at the Blainville birth house and we left the baby on her for a good hour, still connected to the placenta by her cord. When we cut it, the cord was white and blood empty. Baby had received everything he had to have. I buried the placenta under a tree on my pitch to create a connection between baby and Mother Earth.
17.01.2022 If you want to get out and practice the course before next Saturday here it is. There are also little silver plaques in the ground to guide you too.
17.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon I did a quick lap around Anzac Park. Behind the skatepark there were plastic cups and empty coke bottles laying around plus lots of paper. I walked around in a cool down and picked it all up because I thought all this plastic could end up in the lagoon and kill our birds, turtles and ducks. Do the right thing. Put your waste in the right place.
16.01.2022 A morning of bookwork for my accountant. You know the dreaded tax stuff one has to do. Having a cuppa.....contains Brahmi, lemongrass, lemon balm, ginkgo. I’m sure it will help. Gotta go and get into it.
16.01.2022 I bought this organic natural face cleanser and face cream with lots of yummy nourishing ingredients from our local market last week. Im liking it already. I’m also trying this highly praised Practitioner Range Whole Body Collagen Powder. Hopefully when you see me in the flesh I’ll have less fine lines and wrinkles. Sorry but Botox and fillers are not my scene. ... I even noticed a change in my tummy after taking the collagen powder which aims to rebuild and strengthen connective tissue, muscle and bone. Bring it on.
15.01.2022 Now I know I’m a naturopath but I’m also a human who loves donuts ( occasionally of course) and football. Tomorrow night my team The Penrith Panthers plays in their first Grand final in 17 years. Wouldn’t these donuts be awesome. These donuts aren’t mine I saw this pic on a fan page.
14.01.2022 The physio visited Calvin and had him and walking. I’m instructing him in his breathing and circulation exercise. I’ll make sure he does his exercises. This man has to get fixed.
14.01.2022 Sometimes I just want Vegemite on toast. It doesn’t happen often so I just go with it. I reckon I might need the sodium in it in this humid weather.

13.01.2022 A few months ago I started swimming lessons. When I started I couldn’t swim 25 metres in the heated pool. A few weeks ago we graduated to the unheated 50 metre pool. Eek cold water, I don’t like that. I got in and had a mild panic attack. It was like I was in the Pacific Ocean somewhere surrounded by water. I told myself I was safe, Iam ok and to relax and just swim and breathe. It wasn’t long and a few lessons later I could swim 50 metres. Then the coach said if you want... to do a triathlon you are going to have swim without stopping. Next goal to swim 100 metres without stopping. Um this was uncomfortable. How am I ever going to do that when I can’t breathe Iam thinking. I was not enjoying the swimming. But keep going I tell myself. Focus on the goal. I ran last Saturday with my friend and at the end of our 10 km run I realised how easy I did it, even though it was hot and humid. It twigged to me that the swimming had helped my running. Incentive to keep going. This week at swimming I listened to the coach, slowed down and was able to swim 100 meters and enjoyed it. A breakthrough. My point is that in life we all have set backs and you’ve got to push through being uncomfortable to reach your goal. My goal next year will be a small triathlon with a 300 meter swim component. Wish me luck on my journey.
11.01.2022 Lest We Forget. 11.11.20.
11.01.2022 The latest edition of this popular book is a game changer for those who need to set better boundaries. I think most of us.
10.01.2022 Oh to remind myself. Happiness begins with me and right now. An old yoga cassette I have says you are only as happy as you make up your mind to be . She goes onto say so smile and cheer up after nearly 40 years I can still hear Swami Sarasvati.
10.01.2022 Have a great weekend.
10.01.2022 Is this how 2020 will be remembered.

08.01.2022 It was hot and muggy today for our Parkrunners. Well done to everyone who participated. We even had some drop ins from Darwin, Toowoomba and Hervey Bay. It is always nice to see others who visit our city join in. Parkrun is held in many locations so if your visiting or on holidays you may find Parkrun where you are. I’ve personally enjoyed the courses in Sunshine Coast, Perth, Adelaide, Hervey Bay and Sydney. Today I volunteered and I’m going for my purple volunteer tshirt next year. 25 I believe.
08.01.2022 Parkrun starts this morning at 7 am. There is still time to get down to Anzac Oark and join in. My running buddy Linda and I just did a short warm up run. Everyone is excited and people are here early. Because this is the first Parkrun since March.
07.01.2022 My passion is to educate people to eat real food. Let food be thy medicine.
06.01.2022 I have a fetish for recipe books. Can’t say though I cook alot these days. This edition has lots of good healthy recipes and you can always tweak recipes to make them healthier. E.g leave out sugar.
04.01.2022 Most of you know I’m Involved with this project. It was designed to attract tourist to town. Make sure you grab a map from the VIC and show your family and friends when they visit.
04.01.2022 When I was in my 20’s I liked to run. Often running around the beautiful harbour and opera house before work or a lovely park at Oatley near where I lived. Back in the day Friday night was pub night with the great people I worked with. I was known to like a drink or two. I started leaving the pub early on a Friday because I wanted to run a 10 km course with my sister. Hangovers, being tired and running are not a great mix. Lots of people used to meet for this 10km run, not ...sure where in Sydney it was now but it was a good 1/2 hour drive from where I lived in Beverley Hills. In those days I recall being able to run this 10 km course in 58 minutes. Fast forward many decades and I’m somewhat slower but each Saturday I get out and run. This morning was very hot and humid. My point in sharing this is that we all have choices. Maybe start walking and guess what Parkrun starts back in two weeks time. A walk or run or abit of both.
03.01.2022 Monday and Friday are my swimming lesson days. Last Monday i had a major setback, had a headache and sore neck. Was frightened I was going to drown. Memories of when I was 4 years old in a red and white cozzie (made by mother )sitting on the bottoms edge of a river near Sydney came flooding back. I was not in a good headspace.. I got out. I was feeling so defeated and disappointed. The coach spoke to me about mindset. I came home and listened to some youtube clips determined this was not going to frame my life's goals. Today I was alot better, as I swam more relaxed (as the coach advised) I spoke to myself with each stroke...relax, breathe relax repeat....... Keep going, you'll get there I tell myself.
03.01.2022 Bought myself a new off-road bike last week. Went for a big ride in Tuan forestry today to test out the bike with a few friends from Gympie. Endless rides in the forestry will keep me busy for years to come. Such a good feeling. What are you up to this weekend.
03.01.2022 Great way to start my weekend. A run with my mate Linda. We ran from Anzac Park to Tinana Park and back. Feel great after doing that. That’s why I run because I feel so darn good after it. Reduces worry, depression and stress. Get up and do something. Plus helps me stay slim and healthy.
03.01.2022 Early 10 km run this morning around Anzac Park and up around Old Township a few times. Lovely in the shade and the cool. We are lucky to have such beautiful areas in Maryborough to enjoy the outdoors. Car in for a wheel alignment and while I wait having a healthy brekkie and coffee at Alowishus in Adelaide Stteet. Then off to work. The builder coming to fix the heavy front door that most cannot open. Lunch with a fine dear friend for her 65 th birthday and I’m ready for my... footy team to play tonight in the preliminary final. One hell of a busy day. I’m think I meant to cook lamb shanks too. See more
02.01.2022 I think the toilet roll is a symbol of 2020. The year of lots of crap so to speak. Today I gave a roll of this toilet paper to our swimming coach as part of a Christmas gift ( we also gave him a sports shop voucher) and I don’t think I’ve seen him laugh and smile so much. Except when he is giving us drills that make us squirm. We promised him we will back in 2021 plus some visits to pool during the festive season to keep up our skills and level of fitness. Maybe he thought the toilet roll was a farewell gift. Laughter is the best medicine.
