22.01.2022 Friday night = camping night! Even a broken tent didn't stop us! Thanks Kevin and Kashera Forde for an awesome time camping @debushes! #barbadoscamping #wild #nature #peace

20.01.2022 It's really easy to grow you're own avacado tree. These have been growing for about 6 weeks now and they're looking really healthy

19.01.2022 I think we are going to have to do a competition when it's finished, who can guess how many cut pieces of bamboo are here?

18.01.2022 The massive built in seat is looking good! 1 more day and we should finish it! #debushes #bestbuiltinseat #barbados #bambooseat

17.01.2022 Day 7: Working on the path a bit more. Before and after pics with some interest mushrooms and spores along the route. #barbadosnaturetrail #debushes #barbadoscamping

16.01.2022 Day 5 and the campsite is really starting to take shape! It's so cosy now we couldn't resist a night of camping there ourselves! #barbadoscamping #debushes #nature

16.01.2022 Found this fierce little guy today crawling out of some bamboo we're cutting. Commonly known as the "40 leg" centipede, the first 2 limbs end in sharpe, poisonous claws that are used to paralyse and kill its prey. Their effect is similar to a bee sting on humans. Although seen as a nuisance or pest, centipedes are really good at aerating the soil and feeding on small insects like spiders and moths.... For now though, this guy is banned from the camp! #debushes #barbadoswildlife #barbadoscentipede

15.01.2022 Just a few of the interesting flora and fauna you can find here at De Bushes Nature Reserve #Barbados #debushes #Barbadoswildlife #ScotlandDistrictBarbados

14.01.2022 Stepped out this morning and saw this big guy... Originally used on sugar plantations as pest control the #bullfrog has a voracious appetite! This one obviously still likes it here even without the cane! #barbados #debushes

14.01.2022 Curious little fella! Green monkeys really like it in #debushes because of all the fresh fruit and vegetation. We don't want to hurt them so we are testing out rubber snakes as a deterrent around part of the crop we'd like to eat! #greenmonkey #barbados #sharingscaring

13.01.2022 Almost finished! Making slow progress with just 2 of us and all these ruddy storms! Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow! #barbadoscamping #debushes

09.01.2022 More rainy craft days! Hopefully with these handmade lamps and recycled jar/vase the camp will feel homely and snug! #debushes #barbados #bamboocrafts #barbadoscamping

02.01.2022 Massive thanks to Lorenzo Bellini, workaway volunteer from Italy, who's strength and determination helped us to make a track big enough for a car, a hiking trail, and very strong foundations for an amazing camp site. We will miss you my friend, you are always welcome here!
