20.01.2022 Rebalance, relax and refresh with this audiobook pick from the 2020 #MBRLReadingChallenge. The author of "The Resilience Project" had a life-changing revelation when volunteering in India. Despite their underprivileged background, the children he encountered were remarkably positive. By contrast, children in Australia from wealthier families struggled with depression, social, anxiety and mental illness. Listen to the audiobook to find out why, and how we can find happine...ss through gratitude, empathy and mindfulness during challenging times. Check out the book https://bit.ly/33DoR3I and challenge here https://bit.ly/2R9mWOc, and share what you're reading using our hashtag and Moreton Bay Region Libraries. #TheResilienceProject

19.01.2022 Listen to The Resilience Project with your library card. Hugh van Cuylenburg was a primary school teacher volunteering in northern India when he had a life-changing realisation: despite the underprivileged community the children were from, they were remarkably positive. By contrast, back in Australia Hugh knew that all too many children struggled with depression, social anxieties and mental illness. Why? Entertaining and informing, Hugh explains how we can all get the to...ols we need to live a happier and more fulfilling life. https://bit.ly/2LSld0m #TheResilienceProject #HughvanCuylenburg

18.01.2022 #BookReview "Elon Musk: A Mission to Save the World, is a quick and fun read. It is more suited to a younger audience, which is in part what makes the biography so enjoyable. The book covers Elon's life achievements, but more importantly pays credence to his history, detailing the bullied South African schoolboy, and how through creativity and determination, he set out to succeed to become the visionary billionaire we know today. A short and worthwhile read." - Ray Borrow here: https://rb.gy/ib0zma #ElonMusk

16.01.2022 #BookReview "This is the first book of the Witcher series, that spawned a very popular computer game and TV show. The Last Wish contains 7 stories and there's much to enjoy here, monsters, spins on classic fairy tale themes, magic and violent fights. The dark fantasy, melancholy and cynicism of the character Geralt and his environment brings to mind similar themes from the works of the great fantasy masters, but it didn't offer anything particularly memorable for me. I do recommend giving it a go, for it was enjoyable enough to nudge my curiosity to try the next book in the series." - Dean Reserve now: https://rb.gy/ibt0pj #TheWitcher
