16.01.2022 An illustration example for the Leah design - this is the beautiful Circa 1876 venue in the Hunter Valley. I also have a winter version of these buildings with pared-back tree foliage, as well as a detailed illustration of 'The Convent' building and fountain at this venue as well. So lovely to be working on more illustrations and adding to my list of available venues. 16.01.2022 Venue illustrations have been so popular this year! They are a beautiful way of adding a special custom element to your wedding stationery. The illustration doesn't have to be of a your venue but can be of a view or of any special spot. I've even recently created a drawing of a classic VW Combi! I love seeing how other artists work so I've been sharing some making-of in our stories. If you've missed them, here is a quick timelapse video of part of a drawing from a few weeks a...go (St Paul's Anglican Church Burwood NSW). I draw everything by hand in pen and ink and scan to create the design. There are plenty of ways to draw digitally - however I much prefer the quality of line and detail that can be achieved with pen and paper. It truly makes my designs completely unique. Foiling can be added to any of our Collection designs, and Michelle is designed to show how lovely it can look - especially for large script areas. 13.01.2022 Some of the behind the scenes and design examples that I've been sharing over on Instagram so far this year including some of our favourite design suites: Naomi, Ebony, Lucy, Megan and Natasha. Pairing these designs with coloured Invitation or Response card envelopes has been hugely popular. The subtle colour combinations with different shades layered together make a beautiful invitation set.

11.01.2022 My final post for this year this is an illustration example of a beautiful venue on the Tasmanian East Coast. Shown in the Leah design layout, where the Bride & Grooms' names are featured in a lovely flowing script. Printed in Bisque ink on White cotton paper. I love the East Coast but I selected this venue to give a sense of the range of options for illustrations the drawing doesn't have to be of a building and can be of a meaningful place or outdoor ceremony location. We've worked on some beautiful suites this year and I'm looking forward to creating new designs and illustrations next year! Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas / New Year break

09.01.2022 Seeing my illustrations when the first print is pulled is always an exciting moment - details that I’ve painstakingly drawn come to life in print. Following the illustration from initial concept discussion with clients right through to letterpress printing is always a highlight for me. This lovely drawing (Pier 1 + Sydney Harbour Cruise) was a custom illustration for our Naomi suite, created for a fantastic couple in Sydney. The illustration featured on their Invitations and was carried through to Menus. This is our Celeste suite Invitation in portrait orientation with my hand-drawn roses illustration featured in the bottom right. This particular layout would also look gorgeous in bolder ink shade combination as the text and illustration aren't overlapping.
