It’s the opinion of a individual person, but it’s is only arguably correct statement when it is a Brand new and just being installed and oiled. Here are some photos of the Merbau decking that is 6 months old. Looks terrible in my opinion. Imagine that to avoid it, you need to sand it all down and oil it again and do it every 6-12 months.
