24.01.2022 These were filling my boot this morning. My drop off of Rae’s Christmas towels. Pity she’s in Melbourne or otherwise I would have been treated to a great morning tea. Never mind I need to lose weight anyway and we’ll catch up when she returns.

22.01.2022 This family is moving into a new home. Their first night is tomorrow. Spoke to Mum and asked if shed like me to wash the towels. She agreed it would be great for the boys to have them ready for their first night. Of course you also need a new towel for the kitchen and what better than a red towel with rainbow lorikeets. Enjoy your new home.

20.01.2022 I sent these towels off to my neice Toni. Always good to pay it forward in these times. I also sent her a lace Our Lady. I made this at the same time as I made one for her Mum who has been in hospital. I hope they both bring them the protection that they pray for.

18.01.2022 Had the Embroidery Machine running today. Finished off these - Bamboo Hand Towel and Washer and another Hand Towel - which will be packaged for sale at Village Creative Studio. Also sewed lots of towel toppers while this was happening.
17.01.2022 The brief was to make a gift for a new great granddaughter that is still to be born. I was given a price limit and asked to choose the products. The boxed gift on the right contains an embroidered towel and washer,two embroidered bibs, an embroidered muslin wrap, a double sided flannelette wrap and two flannelette burp cloths. The theme is bunnies. Thanks Neal for your order. Im glad you like my choice.
16.01.2022 Remember the start of this Pocket Pillow. Well here’s the finished product. Another one off to the shop tomorrow back to embroidery as the shop is almost out of the masked Gingerbread ornaments.
14.01.2022 Bought this design today. It had been sitting in the cart for a while. Found some shop-bought placemats and decided to stitch it out. Got to the last quarter and decided the wording was too American so with some computer magic I got the last quarter changed. Do you know which one I changed? It will have to be backed of course.
14.01.2022 As most of my friends know, I frequent my local coffee shop which is also a florist. He constantly gives me a flower when I call in for a coffee. So today this was my gift for Andrew and his wife Annie. Andrew feeds the local Lorikeets daily so, when I saw this Jocelyn Proust fabric, I knew I had to make a hanging towel for them.

10.01.2022 To all my customers and followers. Thank you for sticking with me during this last year. It has been a rocky road for some but there seems to be a resurgence of interest in handmade goods. May you have a peaceful time with family and friends and may you never be too old to search the skies at Christmas.
10.01.2022 All of Rae’s towels are finished and here are just a few more pics. Didn’t photograph them all as I got really excited packaging them up. I have been working on this order on and off since March. In the latest delivery four are going to Georgetown, six are going to Mt Isa, four are going to Emerald, two to Longreach and two to Western Queensland. 09.01.2022 Back to Village Creative Studio today to drop off some more hanging towels. Of the 14 dropped off last week, 9 had sold in 2 days. Must be all the hand washing we have to do. so this weeks drop off is 30. Not bad for a weeks work even if I do say so myself. Thank you to the staff at Village Creative and to their customers.
08.01.2022 One of 2 orders finished today. Another order from Denise for a newborn bub. Like me she likes bright colours for babies. It will be delivered to Village Creative Studio tomorrow afternoon for Denise to pick up. Thanks for your continued support of my little hobby/business.
08.01.2022 Today is AnzacDay - a day to remember those who fought for and also those who died to keep us safe. This year we saw people go to the end of their driveway to show their respect. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

04.01.2022 At Village Creative Studio today. What a great day to come down to Wellington Point and check out all the stock including the great Christmas stock. Bought some extras with me today. Watch out for these Polar Bear candy Cane holders (they’ve got their tongues ready to lick your candy Cane); Cheated a little with my hanging towels as I used pre-embroidered towels and some Christmas Mug Mats.

02.01.2022 Not a bad days work - 12 towels completed to button stage, 10 buttons sewn on, 9 toppers ready to attach the towels to. Oh and lets not forget Nanna school for my preppie grandson. Think Ive got to teach him to sew on buttons rather than using a magnet to pick up pins.
