15.01.2022 Gifts of kisses and light with @kcarnage at her lovely home @housebeatricebyronbay. An in home session I am editing right now. A reflection of life and art and how intertwined they are, sometimes we lose touch in our new role/s as the responsible adult. Everyday I am attempting (and failing) ways I can rediscover myself to tap into deeper levels of creativity and I am sitting more comfortable with the failure part too. I used to be so afraid of failure, but she is now my crazy friend who I need constantly to push me out of that comfort zone

04.01.2022 I first picked up a camera 7 years ago, when I started second shooting weddings for @shaneshepherdweddings. My mum is an artist and I've spent many moons being immersed in her world, being dragged along from one exhibition to the next. I never really thought anything of it until I started shooting and I realised I had been in training before I even picked up the camera. All the books you've read, the design and art you have devoured, it's all there in your subconscious. And ...everything to date becomes your super power. I look back on that time and think of how far I have come, yet how much I need to keep going to get to where I want to be. I've made a dealio with myself to keep going and keep putting out to the world, even if it isn't perfect. I am way too much of a perfectionist and it's been at my detriment in getting going with what I love. & I also wanted to share this to encourage you to do the same. 03.01.2022 We've spent the last few days camping down south by the seaside and it seems like a really amazing way to welcome in @worldoceansday. The ocean means so much to us all, it's our home.
