20.01.2022 This fortnight we have been busy with messy painting and messy play, also Easter activities. We support Sustainability practices with our daily activities, by using recycled cardboard boxes which previously has been used as a cubby house and a boat, and sensory experience with rosemary from the backyard. We are still operating at child safe levels during these hard times, avoiding big groups as we have a maximum of 4 small children per day, and still have limited space available for those that wish to avoid large groups in this current environment in which we live in .

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, During this period of times, as you can understand the situation is developing rapidly due to COVID-19. I would like to inform all of my families of these practices up on arrival and pick up times... Receiving and handing over children at the gate at my FDC. Check childrens temperature when they arrive and only accept them into care if temperature is normal. Please let me know if the child or any other house hold member is showing signs of being unwell or has been in contact with someone who has been unwell. ***In this case it would be better if you could take your childs temperature prior departing in the morning, as this would save a lot of time*** Children will wash their hands upon arrival and before they leave and through the day too. Cancel all non-essential outings and visitors as per ECRUs strong recommendation. Make the best of your own outdoor environment and the fresh air. Add to program caregiving strategies and intentional teaching about hand hygiene, physical distancing through stories, videos and learning activities, physical activities and planned activities to boost mental wellbeing (music, dance, yoga, sensory play). Continue networking with other educators through online mediums. Room will be stripped back to only essential toys and equipment. Remove fabrics, cushions, etc. that you cannot wash or disinfect each day. Establish bin on counter for mouthed toys encourage older children to let me know if they see a toy mouthed. Wash mouthed toys after lunch and before home time. Do a thorough clean and disinfect at the end of each day / session. In this hard times, unfortunately we have to follow these rules set out by health Department. Hopefully it will soon be over and thank you for your cooperation.
