25.01.2022 I’m here at the light rail stop in Gungahlin this morning. If you’re around please come say hello!

24.01.2022 Today was a brilliant day with Andrew Barr ACT Chief Minister to announce a new venue for Canberra's multicultural events. This follows the first motion I moved in the ACT Assembly calling on the Government to investigate the feasibility of expanding and creating a space at EPIC for community and multicultural events. Today I am incredibly proud that this ACT Labor has committed to delivering this centre for our vibrant and diverse community. ... The centre will be a fantastic addition for our multicultural city and I am incredibly proud to be a voice for our multicultural community in the Assembly.

23.01.2022 ACT Labor has a strong record of delivering on our promises and investing in public schools to keep pace with Canberra’s growing community. Under a re-elected Labor government, families in Canberra’s north will see a new $85 million high school in Taylor and a new $35 million primary school to meet forecast growth in public school enrolments in North Gungahlin. Construction on the high school in Taylor will commence in the 2022-23 financial year.

22.01.2022 I’m down at Gungahlin Marketplace if you would like to come and say hello.

22.01.2022 Celebrating Navratri Durga Ashtami (Maha Ashtami) 2020 with the Nepali community of ACT. Ashtami, meaning ‘the eighth’, is dedicated to Goddess Mahagauri, one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Thanks to Sanatan Samaj Australia Inc. (SSA) and the Ambassador of Nepal H.E. Shri Mahesh Dhall and Madam Dhall for inviting me to this auspicious occasion.

21.01.2022 During my time as an MLA, since July last year my team, volunteers and I have knocked on over 12,000 doors and made over 30,000 phone calls to the community. I have a clear understanding of our community’s specific concerns and needs. I have and will continue to make them my top priority, if I am re-elected.... Vote 1 Deepak-Raj Gupta, and the rest of the Labor team 2-5.

13.01.2022 Taking a quick break this afternoon from doorknocking. I’m sitting around the table with my family today enjoying lunch and some chocolates for dessert. I like to say that doorknocking is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get! I’m especially grateful now for these quiet moments, particularly in this busy time.

12.01.2022 A big thank you to all the campaign volunteers for showing your continued support!

10.01.2022 ‘We don’t need people like you in the Assembly’. This is an example of some of the things I have heard as an MLA and as a candidate on the campaign trail. I share this only to say that this rhetoric does not reflect the values of the majority of people in our community, nor the values of ACT Labor. ... We live in a progressive and inclusive community, and we need to ensure that we stand up for those values.

09.01.2022 Today is the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It is an ideal time to remember his principles of truth, non-violence, simplicity and faith.

09.01.2022 Has anyone been down to Gungahlin Place to see Floriade reimagined?

08.01.2022 We voted!!! Let’s return Australia’s most progressive and experienced Government this election.

07.01.2022 I am incredibly grateful to have my family, who are my rock. To me, family means standing by each other and being there, and I know have been a lucky husband and father to these these wonderful people by side.

06.01.2022 Thank you to some of my fabulous volunteers for helping out at prepoll. Voting has now opened! You can vote here: ... Ground Floor, Ruby Apartments 8 Gribble Street Ground Floor, Harrison Green 11 Wimmera Street Gungahlin Enclosed Oval Warwick Street (enter from Crinigan Circuit)

04.01.2022 Our ACT Labor Government led by Andrew Barr ACT Chief Minister understands and embraces our vibrant and diverse community, particularly in Gungahlin. Thank you to Andrew who braved the rain today to visit Gungahlin Mosque and meet with members from the community. It is important that we embrace our multicultural community, and I will continue to be an advocate for inclusivity in our city.

03.01.2022 I seriously cannot sit down in our house without this happening. Every. Single. Time. I’m spending some time indoors today due to the rain outside, and these boys are keeping me company.

02.01.2022 ACT Labor made the ACT the renewable energy capital of Australia, and we want to build on that achievement. We think that Canberra can achieve something even bigger. That’s why, if re-elected this October, ACT Labor will start work to deliver one of the biggest renewable battery storage system in Australia. ACT Labor’s Big Canberra Battery will deliver at least 250MW of battery storage ensuring lower electricity prices and a more stable and resilient power grid.... More jobs Leading the nation in renewables Cheaper electricity bills

01.01.2022 ACT Labor understands that equity in education is crucial to ensure that all children reach their full potential. We know that children start life in different places, which is why we are working to ensure we support all our students. This is a fantastic announcement to support our local kids.
