25.01.2022 WHAT A MONSTER!! This Blue Eye is currently in Mures Tasmania Fishmongers at Victoria Dock! It weighed in at 40kg (32kg cleaned) and was caught on the Cascade P...lateau,150 nautical miles east of Tasmania by their very own boat Diana. Blue Eye get to a maximum of around 50kg so this is getting close to as big as they get. Mures have been involved in the Blue Eye fishery since 1976, hook fishing this species around Tasmania. What a great testament to well managed fishery that you can still catch mature fish like this! #Tasmania #SupportLocal
