10.01.2022 I have been changing over quite a few halogen downlights to LED downlights lately and in doing so seeing some close calls. The one in the picture was installed too close to the roof beam and had left a pretty impressive burn mark LED downlights are a much safer option as they don't heat up like the traditional halogen ones. They also give off a better light with less shadowing, and being LED you never have to change a globe The price to replace a halogen downlight with an LED one from only $49+GST per light with a 3 year warranty on the fitting!
