19.01.2022 The State Government have moved to Stage 4 restrictions and unfortunately we have closed the tennis courts again until further notice. All current financial memberships will be extended by at least six (6) weeks to cover the period of this stage 4 Covid-19 lockdown. If your membership expired prior to 18th March, 2020 then you are non-financial and will not be extended. You can pay your membership to our club bank account BSB 06 3253 a/c 1095 6580 and receive membership benef...its. At this stage all plans for competition tennis have been disrupted until we have a clear indication on which direction the virus will take. The committee will keep you upto date. Our Annual General Meeting will be deferred untill a later date. Please ensure that you do not use the courts as you will face large financial penalties as prescribed by the State Government. Please take note of Covid-19 rules, and keep exercising safely at your home or neighbourhood to ensure your health and fitness is maintained during the lock down. 17.01.2022 The club will be holding our senior and junior Open Singles Club Championships starting on Saturday 21st March for seniors (Men and Ladies) and Saturday 28th March for juniors (Boys and Girls). Please note that this is an OPEN event, and numbers are limited to the first 32 players registered with fees and graded by our committee. First prize valued at $250* and Runner-Up $100* for each of the Men's, Ladies, Boys and Girls events. Also, the club committee will donate $500 from... the proceeds of this tournament to a Bush Fire Relief Fund. So if you think you have what it takes, then register now! 09.01.2022 In light of the Victorian Government’s State of Emergency declaration due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus yesterday, and advice from Tennis Australia and Tennis Victoria, all of our association competition team tennis has been suspended until further notice in the best interests of our community and the general public. NSNTA and NSJTA competition players and parents are advised to keep updated by looking the the tennis association websites www.nsjta.asn.au and www.nsnta....org Our members will still have access to the courts, however, please exercise care, be mindful of your health risks and take particular attention to government and health department advice regarding your movements during this State of Emergency. Do not gather in large groups and avoid close proximity to others. IF YOU ARE UNWELL PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. DO NOT PUT OTHERS AT RISK. The situation will be carefully monitored by the associations to determine when it will be most appropriate to recommence the competitions and we would like to thank you for your understanding. 06.01.2022 Registrations for the 2020 Season 1 NSJTA (Juniors) and NSNTA (Seniors) competitions are now open. Registration forms are available on the club website and at the club. Registration forms and competition fees are due back by 7:30pm, Thursday 31/10. Payment can be made electronically to Deer Park Tennis Club Inc. BSB 063253, Account 1095 6580.... NOTE, only entries with payment of fees and current club membership will be considered in the team selection. Late payments and registrations will not be accepted.
