17.01.2022 Velvet harvesting season is here and prices to date seem very positive for farmers thanks to the ever increasing interest of Chinese buyers who are prepared to pay well for quality product. 14.01.2022 Received a nice email from a new customer. It is great feedback! : "Hi Ross, Thanks for sending those two K9 Magic large antlers. This was our first order with your business but I am pleased to say the ordering process was straightforward and postage was pretty quick.... Our german shepherd is having a wonderful time sinking her teeth into the first antler. We have traditionally bought our antlers from Best Friends Pet Stores but over time the 'large' size antlers have become smaller and smaller with the quality also diminishing. 02.01.2022 We are a little concerned that we have had some "Tree hugger/Wacko" types posting mischievous stuff on our face book page, which has now been deleted. These postings intimated that we have mistreated our animals. This was particularly during the annual removal of deer velvet antler. Nothing could be further from the truth as we have gone out of way to treat our animals humanely and with respect. We have complied completely, as do other Australian deer farmers, with Nationa...l Velvet Accreditation guidelines, which has the approval of the Veterinary Surgeons Board. Our Kiwi friends, like other countries that remove velvet antler from deer, have similar velvet removal rules in place. 01.01.2022 We are going to have to review our prices for our deer velvet products due to the recent bumper season. The 2014-15 velvet season has been a very good one for deer farmers. This has been very welcome as not that long ago the price for frozen velvet antler was about Au$60 per kg. This recent season saw prices up to Au$130 per kg due to the strong demand and competition from South Korean and Chinese buyers.
