08.01.2022 This post has been a while coming. Those who have been in contact with us will know that we’ve had our worst ten days imaginable. Our beautiful litter has been decimated by a so far unidentifiable illness. Apparently it started with Pepper, who passed it onto the pups and one by one they slipped away from us. We’ve tried to get help from vets - and been told everything from ‘its not life and death so we’re not seeing anybody’ (even though Pepper had almost collapsed on a tw...o kilometre walk); to ‘blood tests are normal’; followed by ‘the pups have picked up an infection from the mother (who’s bloods came back clear three hours earlier) and they keep passing the infection back and forth’. Go figure. Our beautiful litter of 8 is down to 2 - mum (Pepper) is going well now, and our hand raising of the remaining pups is starting to show results. Here’s the toughest pair of pups ever...
