Today we celebra...te the dedicated men and women who work each day to protect you, the irreplaceable. Whether it’s rescuing you from a car crash, providing emergency medical care to your loved one or humanitarian relief to your community - our firefighters do so much more than fight fire. We are #PreparedForAnything. Today, we also remember all firefighters who have lost their lives while serving others. While we can’t celebrate this important day the way we usually would; we join together in commemoration, as we stay apart. #FRNSW #ProtectTheIrreplaceable #MoreThanFire #OurPeople

06.01.2022 Fire and Rescue NSW Firefighters from Dee Why and Manly are currently on scene at a fire involving a natural gas main that has been accidentally ruptured in Manly. Darley Road has been shut by Northern Beaches Police Area Command until representatives from the gas authority can isolate the supply. Please use caution if driving around the area.

05.01.2022 http:// BUSHFIRE @ NORTH HEAD // Shortly before 9pm, Fire and Rescue NSW received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a bush fire on North Head. Calls were received from both the Northern Beaches and residents towards Watsons Bay in the south. Manly and Dee Why firefighters responded to the area finding a large section of bush alight in an inaccessible area. Due to the difficult location of the fire and gusty southerly winds the response was upgrade to include 7 Fire & Resc...ue NSW trucks (including Mosman, Neutral Bay, Forestville, Lane Cove and Narrabeen) and a number of Rural Fire Service tankers. Due to the poor access, crews will monitor the movement of the fire as it is currently moving towards an area that was burned in a recent hazard reduction. Firefighters will remain on scene to ensure the fire remains in a contained area and to protect nearby heritage assets.
