16.01.2022 Meet Jo A true Northern Territorian, Jo has been with us for around 3/4 years. He started off welding shelves in the workshop during his school holidays and is now near finishing his electrical apprenticeship with Defend Fire. Jo has been a breath of fresh air from day one and has remained this way ever since. Jo is a rare gem and we count ourselves very lucky to have him as an integral part of the team!

11.01.2022 I was standing on a roof in DARWIN yesterday. Nice day for it, a touch warm - and wayyy too sweaty. We are the maintenance provider for every building in this photo with the exception of one. Not a bad portfolio Happy Friday everyone!

09.01.2022 Back on the tools for a few days (17 days, 2557km in a hilux) in the middle of the country. I love jumping back into the thick of things and getting dirty. Ive trained one of our senior guys on pumps and pump controller operation and retrofit. Ive been educated on gas suppression subtleties by the same guy! Xtralis Vesda Filters x 45 changed in 7 days, including nitrogen purging of pipes. 197 fire extinguishers inspected and 44 replaced, returned to our Alice Springs of...fice, ready for recycling in conjunction with our waste disposal partner JJ Richards - who we now have a fantastic mutual relationship with in Alice. System Interface Testing at a major airport over a few nights, employing a very keen new staff member, organisation of signage and advertising, meeting prospective clients through relationships formed in Darwin and SOME sleeping thrown in there somewhere for necessity! Ive seen some very well maintained equipment, and some that needs some love. Best part - flying home to my boys and wonderfully patient wife just before Fathers Day. #defendfire #firesystems #AS1851 See more

08.01.2022 Defend Fire (SA) are so proud to have recently been a part of a selected D&C tender process to provide specialised fire detection, facility occupant warning, fire water storage, pumping solutions and sprinkler protection for this state of the art facility. Submissions closed last week so fingers crossed we get to the next stage. Our design and estimating team gathered specialist product data and pricing from across the country and came up with what we consider to be an innovative and robust design resulting in a cost effective solution. Fingers crossed were successful!!
