16.01.2022 Time to look back to 2012. This was when Andrew White and I were just totally in ore of the support of the Altona, Laverton & Point Cook Branches of the Bendigo Bank, they came on board and gave their support to their local Communities and Sporting Clubs with the donation of 100 Defib Packages. They covered Sporting Club, Schools, Community Groups, and also implemented 24/7 Access AED'S. And we are very proud to say, in 2020 we are still working closely with them, and look... forward to the continuing partnership in the future.... 11.01.2022 Tonight's Ambulance Victoria's live stream about SCA.

11.01.2022 What about the school bus? There may be a defibrillator in your school building, but what about the bus. So many of our kids are traveling daily by bus. Whether thats their morning and afternoon commute or a school excursion or camp. AEDs are completely portable. When thinking about installing a defibrillator in your school also consider distances. Consider: ... How many buses do we have and how often are they used? How long does it take to cross from the office building to the car park? When heading off on camp how Rescue Ready are our staff? Youre ensuring your students, parents, teachers and the driver are equipped to act in an emergency. Thank about it. #schoolsafety #defibrillator #rescueready

08.01.2022 Tomorrow, the 16th October (known as Shocktober) is National Restart A Heart Day Ambulance Victoria & Defib For Life are on a mission to equip all Victorians with the know-how to do basic CPR and to locate their nearest Automated External Defibrillator (AED). We'd love your help. Every day around 18 Victorians will have a cardiac arrest, with only 1 in 10 surviving. We know that bystander intervention has the greatest impact on improving that survival rate. Performing CPR and... using an AED lifts their chances of survival by 68 per cent. Recent research has revealed a 50% decline in cardiac arrest survival rates during the first wave of COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria. Victoria has one of the largest registers of AEDs in the country with more than 6,500 listed, but many people don’t know where they’re located or when to use them. Knowing where to find your closes Automatic External Defibrillator means you can help save a life. We're asking Victorians to visit Ambulance Victoria's site to find their nearest AED. They can search 'find an aed' or visit: https://registermyaed.ambulance.vic.gov.au/ Watch this video for more: https://www.facebook.com/AmbulanceVictoria/videos/3363155353731039/ You can also register for a free Facebook live CPR session on 15th October at 7pm. Either email the Ambulance Victoria Community Engagement team or register your interest on the Ambulance Victoria Facebook page If you miss this session, email the Community Engagement team to book in a free session for your community group through-out October. Lets get on board, lets be Rescue Ready #ambulancevictoria#defibforlife#aed

06.01.2022 I am sure you have seen many statements regarding COVID-19. Like all Australians, were trying our very best to navigate this situation as it rapidly changes each day. We recognise that there are health-care workers and providers tha...t are relying on us to keep business running as usual and we are committed to do all we can to keep the supply of our products flowing and keep the support to our customers available, for as long as possible, whilst upholding the welfare of all our staff. In April we will be launching our Defib For Life AED Maintenance Program to support those who purchased there AED's through DFL and who's device are now outside the initial 7 year replacement program. Please contact us for further information. So for now, we are working from home, and ensuring we adhere to the Government's guidelines. The team at Defib For Life wish you all well in these challenging times. Be kind to your fellow humans, and together we will get through this. See more
