25.01.2022 How many of us dream of our bathrooms looking like a spa? With a few inexpensive tricks we can achieve a feel of a spa style. The colour 'white' offers a sense of peace, tranquility, calm and comfort. Additions of white could be; fluffy white towels, bath crystals in glass jars, candles and soaps. Bring in some splashes of soft colours indulging in rose petals floating in the bath, vintage bath products and don't forget a beautiful bunch of flowers - Then Enjoy!
25.01.2022 How I love Christmas! Interesting to do some research on how the Christmas colours came about - Red and Green. Here's some intersting research and some beautiful images. "It is said that only the holly tree consented to be cut down and its wood made into a cross to bear Jesus. Some Christians believe that Jesus wore a crown of holly thorns whose berries were originally white. As Jesus blood touched the berries, they turned red. The green leaves of the holly plant have come to represent everlasting life and the berries the blood of Jesus". BBC Religion, Christmas Traditions
22.01.2022 2015 is now here, each year we look forward to see what the colour we'll see splashed around in so many different areas from fashion, designs and many other areas. This year the colour broadcaster Pantone has announced the colour is "Marsala" or burgundy. "A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls". The colour is warm and inviting has a natural partnership with blues, think of it to add warmth in textures with upholsteries and rugs. Added to any room it will create elegance with accent pieces, accessories and paint.

19.01.2022 This amazing cut ceiling installation for Wexlers's by Aidan Darling Design. Bridging the gap between the historic facade and the new interior space within, Aidlin Darling designed Wexler's barbeque restaurant with an incredible undulating ceiling that is evocative of both charred wood and a plume of smoke. Created out of laser cut MDF and painted black, this ceiling installation billows through a refined palette of zinc and rift-sawn oak before emerging as the restaurant's entry canopy. The soft glow of the pendant lighting at the bar highlights the undulations in the ribbed ceiling and visually sends it in motion.
19.01.2022 Winter is here - Lets find colours that warm the soul that we love...Winter is here and its cold outside! The greys of the winter skies, the beautiful autumn leaves have said they're 'farewells'. Its time we add some colour maybe its time to repaint the walls a lovely neutral colour, make sure it has some warm undertones and not cool. How about some pops of bright colours? Yellow and red the colors of the sun or a fire feel hot, just what we need for those chilly days. Maybe a cushion , piece of art or even a beautiful bunch of bright flowers will do . Lets bring in a touch of summer into our winters!

10.01.2022 Works in progress - Its always difficult to image a end result of a renovation, very easy to get despondent with all the dust and seemly chaos of the reno. Here's a recent renovation still in progress but the space looks so different! My client was fabulous and great to see the excitement of the family new areas.

So much of what we're seeing today is the rustic rectangle dining table that can be combined with rustic chairs or the famous 1950s Eames, plastic chairs. Simplicity is the key as it works in some many different styles of homes, not to also say simple, rustic dining is delightful.
