06.01.2022 Definition Members. URGENT NOTICE. After FIFTEEN years our lease has ended. We have fought and endured a difficult three months of negotiations and battles with the landlords from hell but unfortunately, they have won. But we have UPGRADED. We have joined forces with Hammers Gym 244 Whitehorse Rd (just down Blackburn Rd and around the corner). All memberships have been transferred there effective Saturday 21st July 2018. This means Friday 20th July (this Friday) is the ...LAST DAY Definition WILL BE OPEN (sad)!!! Please present yourself at Hammer’s Gym reception as of Friday 20 July to activate your membership and receive your free 24/7 access pass (normally charged out at $60). Hammer’s is a modern, all-purpose training facility with the latest equipment and functional training area, runs a variety of classes including fitness, yoga, boxing fit, spin, is fully air conditioned, 24/7 and has an infra-red sauna. All existing memberships will be honoured for the full length of their term. George and Karla will see you at Hammers. We are excited. We have to say It’s HAMMER TIME See more

03.01.2022 Just to explain to those disgruntled members who are complaining about short notice to close down Definition Fitness Center. This decision was not made until 2.00pm yesterday Tuesday the 17th of July. For the last THREE months we have been engaged in a constant, fierce and COSTLY battle with the landlords trying to convince them and show them, and despite proving to them that our rental was way over market rate they gave our arguments no consideration. Through this time we... have been working over 60 hours a week and pouring every cent into Defo to pay rent, bills, and keep the doors open at much personal sacrifice. The choice was to walk, close the doors and wish you all good luck. Everyone loses. Instead we appealed to Hammers gym and Mark Castagnni owner of Hammers was willing to do anything to help out and honor ALL EXISTING DEFINITION MEMBERSHIPS should then time come when we sould have to close our gym down. For those who are complaining about 'distance' ... PLEASE !!! IT's like FOUR minutes down the road. Why Hammers?? Because we regard it as the best facility in the area to enable the type of training we did at Definition to continue, and it is owned by someone who has successfully been in the industry as long as I have and someone who has my and the industry's respect. SO please be tolerant. IN actual fact, you have lost NOTHING. You still have the same membership, for the same price, at a gym that is better equipped, runs classes, open 24/7 and has vastly improved bathroom facilities but is four minutes down the road for those living north.
