25.01.2022 What does your office look like? Degnan workers have been lucky enough to enjoy the picturesque setting of one of the most beautiful locations in the world over the last couple of months while upgrading two historic buildings within the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
25.01.2022 Enhancements and refurbishments to the rail network through the Station Refresh Program has given many train stations a fresh new look, including Punchbowl Station (pictured), which Degnan completed earlier this year. 21.01.2022 It's out with the old and in with the new. After 60 years of service, the last operating wooden escalator at Town Hall Station has now been replaced with a bran...d new version. The new escalators, on Platforms 5 and 6, is a welcome relief for many including the vision impaired who often avoided the station due to safety concerns for themselves and their Guide Dogs.

11.01.2022 Town Hall Station Update - Degnan have been working closely with Sydney Trains to deliver major works as part of a modernisation project. Town Hall is one of Sydneys busiest stations, with over 160,000 passengers moving through it daily, and it has remained fully operational while we have been working on new ticket barriers, communications rooms, fire and ventilation systems. We are also making progress replacing the old wooden escalators and will be continuing to make more changes over the coming months. Stay tuned!
11.01.2022 Works have begun on three Substations that will form part of the rail network Power Supply Upgrade. Degnan has been engaged by Downer to complete the construction of the Substations at Minto, Ingleburn and Guildford. We look forward to supporting TfNSW and the Downer Team.

07.01.2022 Did you know Albury Railway Station has the longest undercover platform in the Southern Hemisphere? Located on the NSW/VIC border, the grand, heritage listed station was opened in 1882 and Degnan are excited to begin refresh works in a couple of weeks. Work will include painting, new awnings, upgraded lighting and improved accessibility as part of the Transport Access Program to provide a better experience for customers.

It probably wont surprise you that women only account for around 11 per cent of the building and construction industry. 06.01.2022 Escalators flying through the sky at St Leonards recently werent a direct stairway to heaven, they were the new station escalators that link the concourse to the platform. Degnan recently installed new escalators at St Leonards Railway Station, with most of the major works occurring over a 2-day weekend rail closure.
04.01.2022 Theres nothing quite like a makeover to help you feel new again. Degnan recently refreshed Bulli Station, giving buildings a new coat of paint and restoring the heritage qualities of the station, including the Black Diamond Museum building which is located on the eastern platform. We also upgraded the station and car park lighting and built a new family accessible toilet.

03.01.2022 Rain, hail or shine, catching a train from Glenfield and Lidcombe Stations will be more pleasant soon as Degnan have begun work on platform canopies which will provide rail commuters protection from the elements.
02.01.2022 Check out the new all-weather canopy at Glenfield Station on Platforms 1 and 2. The new canopy provides cover to customers, and encourages them to use the full ...length of the platforms. Other improvements are happening at stations across the network to make it easier for customers to get in and out of stations when the new timetable rolls out on Sunday. 01.01.2022 We are taking things to the next level Degnan have commenced lift upgrades at Sutherland and Wynyard Stations and will begin work at Bankstown, Strathfield and Milsons Point Stations soon. We are looking forward to working with Sydney Trains and the community during these upgrades to the existing Rail Network.
01.01.2022 Do you use Town Hall Station? Try out the newly opened escalator on platforms 5 & 6 that Degnan recently completed with the help of our specialist contractors. Work has now begun on replacing the second vintage wooden escalator the last of its kind across the Sydney Trains network. To honour their place in history, Degnan will be restoring a section which will be exhibited at the Sydney Tramway Museum. Channel 7 were there to report - link in the comments below.
