25.01.2022 Sadly, we have lost one of our own today. Lorna Clarke was our whiz in the kitchen and has been on our committee for many years. Her cakes and sandwiches were always the best you could eat and was always eagerly anticipated at the Oldtime dances. Condolences to Lorna's family and Keven,from all of us at her "Hall" family. We will certainly feel her loss for a very long time.

23.01.2022 Good afternoon hall managers, As the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to escalate, Council’s priority is to protect the health and well-being of the volunteers, staff and community as much as possible. With this in mind, Moreton Bay Regional Council wishes to advise that all community halls will close from Friday 27 March 2020 until further notice, with the overall goal of helping to slow the spread of the virus and reduce peak demand on health facilities. Please note that any... bookings for election purposes on Saturday 28 March will be permitted to proceed subject to Public Health Directions. Additionally, if your Hall is utilised by Council’s Immunisation Program, these bookings are able to continue also. We ask you, as a matter of priority, to please contact all existing bookings and advise of the cancellation. Moreton Bay Regional Council is working closely with Queensland Health and the Australian Government and will continue to be guided by these agencies on all matters of public health. Council will continue to monitor emerging information and provide further updates as required. We will be contacting you all in the immediate future to follow up on this advice. See more

20.01.2022 Our staff have well and truly felt the love and appreciation of our school community through your kind emails and comments on Facebook. The Delaneys Creek staf...f are here for you through this difficult time and are only a phone call or email away. Online learning platforms will be released tomorrow afternoon and all families will get an email from their class teacher with the link and the how to details. We would like every parent and or student to log in and make sure they can get onto the site before Friday. 09.01.2022 Today is Anzac Day and it is on this day that we stop to thank and remember our service men and women who fought in Gallipoli and all those who have served our ...country since.. At Delaneys Creek State School we teach our students that they are the future and it is their duty to continue the memories and values of our past and present servicemen and women. Traditionally our school captains would have fulfilled one of their major community roles today by presenting a poem at the Woodford ANZAC Day service. This year they have filmed their poem and it has been added to this short video presentation. Lest we forget Delaneys Creek. See more

05.01.2022 The hall recently had it's AGM with no changes to the committee but has unfortunately had to raise the hire fees to cope with the yearly expenses. As of this week the fees are: 1-2 hours....$20 2-4 hours...$35, Parties....$120. The bond remains unchanged. All current bookings quoted at the old fees will be honored.
