While no fire ban is in place we ask all residents to be mindful of the condition on Saturday with very high winds and lowered humidity fires may be extremely difficult to control. 18.01.2022 While the wind was blowing we couldn’t complete the intended hazard reduction burns for landholders. So we took the opportunity to train one of our members on driving and clean some hydrants. Luck would have it that these hydrants hadn’t been inspected in a long time meaning we had to dig them out from under grass and dirt..... If you have a hydrant on your nature strip please help us by making sure it’s clearly visible and clean around it...you never know when we might need it.

09.01.2022 THURSDAY TUTORIAL TIME If you could contact one person today, who would it be? Why not make it your local fire warden and apply for a Permit to Light Fire? ...Conducting a hazard reduction burn on your property will help stop a bushfire from starting and spreading. Not sure if you need a permit to light a fire? Fires that don’t need a permit are: Less than two metres in any direction. Lit outdoors in a proper fireplace for the purpose of cooking (e.g. BBQ and camp fires) Certain fires used by primary producers and for industrial purposes. See more
