Your help today made such a huge difference, a job that usually takes me 3 hours to do we had it done in 45 minutes! Seeing the kids artwork up made me so happy and I was overwhelmed with gratitude. 08.01.2022 A HUGE congratulations to Meera aged 12, her artwork "Drawing Backyard Birds" won in her category in the Northern Beaches Art Prize and was one of 30 finalists in the youth prize amongst over 1000 entries! The 2020 art prize invited artists and designers to submit digital artwork in the format of a digital postcard that responds to the theme Postcards from the Home, drawing on experiences and emotions connected to home isolation during COVID-19. Works could be across any ar...t practice that is then photographed and submitted as a postcard. The judges included Elli Walsh, Deputy Editor of Artist Profile magazine and Curator at 3.33 Art Projects, Sarah Robson, Cross-Disciplinary Artist and Ken Done, Artist. Meera created an owl using Prismacolor pencils based on birds in her own backyard. Congratulations Meera, very well deserved. Please be aware that spaces book out fast, especially due to strict numbers to stay in line with NSW Health COVID-19 guidelines. Pop it in the calendar!... There will be 3 x in-person classes (3hrs in length) Monday 28th September 10am-1pm Wednesday 30th September 10am-1pm Friday 2nd October 10am-1pm And there will be 2 x Zoom classes ONLINE (2hrs in length) Tuesday 29th September 10am-12pm Thursday 1st October 10am-12pm.
