20.01.2022 Wick trimming An important step for any candle enthusiast is trimming your wicks. The candle on the left has its wick trimmed slightly removing the ‘mushrooming’ on the top, this is allowing the candle to burn more evenly and clean. The candle of the right however has not been trimmed. As the wick burns you can see black smoke coming from the flame above the candle. This sometimes leaves your jar with a black sooty mark around the top, and makes your jar hotter then it sh...ould. To trim your wick, either pinch off the mushroomed top with your fingers or grab a pair of scissors and snip abit off, By trimming your wick, you are allowing your candle to burn for longer and cleaner! 19.01.2022 I hope everyone has had a wonderful break with a safe new year and Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed my time off with my beautiful little family, and time just went too quick! The new year brings a new price list to delightful whiff, with COVID striking a lot of small and large businesses last year, the price of our raw materials have increased by quite a bit, making it harder to purchase and keep up with orders. Thank you to all who have supported my journey with candle makin...g and I hope this year will be better for us all.
