25.01.2022 It’s such a difficult time right now and most of us can’t be with our loved ones (and some of us wish we probably weren’t ) I know there are so many Mums right now who could do with a little spoiling and a big ‘thank you’ for all they’re doing... teaching, working, entertaining, keeping the peace, cooking, cleaning and the list goes on. Mother’s Day is on Sunday 10th (in case you didn’t know ). 22.01.2022 When you work on your own every day (except when you have your 2 year old ‘keeping you company’), it can be hard to know you’re doing ok sometimes. There isn’t someone to talk things through or just have a chat with so it really is all your own work. Especially when, like so many small business owners, you do it all yourself - buying supplies, making, designing, printing, labelling, packing and all the admin that goes with running a business - it really can be a challenge. ...So to get such wonderful feedback from a new client, who is especially lovely in every way, makes everything worthwhile. Comments like this warm my heart and make me beam from ear to ear to know that I’ve made someone else happy and they’ve got products they truly love, because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about isn’t it? 19.01.2022 I’ll be honest, I’ve really been struggling to concentrate on work, or anything, since New Year. With the devastation from the fires raging our beautiful country I’ve been at a complete loss for words, I feel helpless and heartbroken at the loss of lives, homes, the amount of our land burnt and the millions of wildlife gone.with some some now on the verge of extinction I’ve also been absolutely blown away by the support Australia is getting right now, the people who hav...e rallied around to help those in dire need without a thought for themselves, to those who have fundraised and donated and helped in any way they can. It’s so heart-warming to know that in such a disaster so many people can pull together and do whatever they can, however big or small. Not to mention the amazing firefighters saving homes, lives and wildlife - what absolute heroes! Many of these men and women are unpaid volunteers too We have donated as much as we can personally and through our businesses. We had a stock clearance already planned for January and will now be donating 100% of the profits from this sale to the Bushfire Appeal. The devastation is beyond comprehension. There’s so much involved when you run your own biz and especially when you have SO many options for your clients to choose from . 10.01.2022 Before this dreaded virus arrived in our gorgeous world I had the privilege to meet up with the lovely Sarah from @SecretBloomsSydney (who didn’t know I was a fellow Brit by my accent...guess I’ve been out here a while!) Well, we had the best time creating the perfect candles to accompany Sarah’s stunning floral arrangements! Sarah loved Rose fragrances so Victorian Rose was the perfect choice and, after lots of sniffing, Lychee & Peony (yumm! ) was the second c...hoice. Perfect fragrances as the perfect accompaniment to floral creations, in my opinion . What Sarah didn’t know when she came to see me was the huge amount of choice available to create a unique product. You see, I have access to a large amount of different styled jars, in different colours, sizes and a range of different lids to choose from too! We had the best time creating these candles, especially loving the wooden lids with such a gorgeous logo. What do you think? I’ve got a few minutes to myself today, enjoying the sunshine, watching my boys play outside and feeling grateful . 02.01.2022 Well, what a year! I think most of us will be glad it’s almost over and things will hopefully start getting better in 2021! It’s been crazy in every aspect, home schooling, no get togethers, outside catch ups, people losing jobs, homes and so much worse. I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to every one of you who has supported us, bought from us, worked with us and just being there.
