And yes, just like this post, she was late and kept us waiting (impatient daddy wasn’t impressed; I gently let him know that this was just the first of many times he’ll be waiting on his precious daughter ) But here she is, slowing down life and demanding presence in every moment I’m slowly emerging from the newborn baby bubble and venturing back out to the world anew; being forced to slow down has been a gift, during this year in particular, and I’m r...eally enjoying it while I can. 18.01.2022 MATERNITY LEAVE The time has come and I am officially on leave to enjoy what many have told me will be one of the best periods of R & R I will ever experience in my life (at least I’m sure that’s what they meant ) #notdelusional I am still planning on being back in the (part-time) saddle come November, but until then the Space will be running pretty similarly to during the covid shutdown, with maybe a little more of a delay in me getting back to enquiries (apol...ogies in advance for that). 16.01.2022 Kinda... maybe... sorta... possibly ??? The exciting announcement yesterday of the plan to ease restrictions over the coming 8 weeks brings relief and standard happy dances If you’ve seen the Queensland plan, you’ll notice that Beauty Therapy is listed in all stages, starting with step 1: allowed from the 16th May. #insertalltheemojis ...... However... It is unfortunately very unclear as to WHAT services are allowed to be performed under step 1, with the very high possibility it may just be nail services. So with the ambiguity surrounding this information I’m not yet opening bookings until I am clear on what can go ahead and when, as constant reshuffling of people is one of my least favourite things to do #peoplepleaser Trust that when I am clear, you will most definitely know about it. But also please keep in mind that those who have already had their bookings postponed will of course have first priority. If this is you, you will be hearing from me asap And for those asking: Yes, based on this timeline I WILL be returning to treat before taking mama time off around mid July and am SO excited to see all your faces again To clarify, there are a few things I’m trying desperately to define, namely: Beauty Therapy isn’t included in the National Plan until stage 2, so while states can choose their own dates for each stage/step I’m unsure if they can adapt what’s included in each step. The sentences some beauty therapies and a little beauty therapy treatment doesn’t help to specify what is included and these are currently some of the only explanations I can find to how I can operate Beauty associations are onto these points and are doing the best they can to clear this up for us asap, so I’m confident there will be an answer in the coming days

12.01.2022 Here’s some random things I’ve discovered while hibernating: ~ You can wrap anything in rice paper and call it a meal ~ Music fills a space... ~ My dog is a great conversationalist and can also tell the time simply by how he's feeling (I'm taking notes, on both counts) ~ My perceived dislike of technology is actually a broader dislike of anything that doesn't work as it should when I want it to ~ Wanting to do every-thing and no-thing at once is counter productive to any-thing ~ No one knows if you're working from bed or not, and to be honest, they don't care ~ The earlier you get up, the longer the day is I’d love to know your discoveries from this time While I have you here: The Skin Juice 15% off sale ends this Friday 17th April at 5pm. 10.01.2022 BABY UPDATE With the whole Covid thing sending life awry I’ve been a bit slack in communicating the plans I have in the lead up to birth and beyond #apologies I’m a fair few weeks into my third trimester now (35 weeks actually- time flies ) and while I’m feeling great and am continuing work, I am now fully booked through to my leave ... I am still planning on easing back into treating around October and will of course be posting updates either here, over on the Space’s instagram or via the email send out (you can sign up via the website ). In the meantime the Space will be running as it did through the Covid-19 restrictions. All products will be available online with postage or pick up options. I’m also introducing some new products (because what else do I have to do ) which I’m really excited about and will update you on in the coming week
