23.01.2022 I am an ANKC breeder. I spend a lifetime learning pedigrees, going over dogs, talking and learning from those in my breed and those outside it. I raise each litter as if I gave birth to them and spend an equal amount of time finding them loving forever homes. I only put puppies on this planet that I think will be the healthiest (mentally and physically) and nicest examples of their breed. I support each family who choses one of my puppies and let them know they are now a part... of our extended family. I am there if one needs to come back and will aggressively pursue the return of one of my dogs if its in the wrong place. I support my breed in rescue and education. I hold them when they arrive and leave this world, not only my own, but my brethren in the fancy. I share my knowledge and socialise my dogs so that they will be the advertisement for my dedication. I show my dogs so that I know I am not just bias, or kennel blind. I don't keep track of the money and time I put in to my love of dogs, no one else would ever understand why we do spend so much of both, when I could be in a hobby that the winnings aren’t a $2 ribbon and a photo. I support my friends in the fancy, because it takes a village sometimes and only WE know how things are for us. The price I charge for my puppies is never profit, but investment in the next generation. I will not be ashamed of who I am, I work hard at being a good dog person and encouraging others to be the same. I am an ANKC breeder and I am proud of it! If we don't support each other - we are doomed as a fancy.

15.01.2022 As most know there has been a bit going on here at DB over the past couple of years. My life & my passion revolves around the Cane Da Pastore Maremmano Abruzese. Despite criticism from other breeders here in Australia, I pulled my big girls pants up & did my best to improve the dogs in my kennel. Some days are harder than others as many know I'm a one man band now, I have continued to import & exhibit the breed when possible. There are days I question why I do what I do ? Som...etimes it's a heartbreaking gig then I receive a message from one of my puppy families & it reassures me that everything I do can't all be wrong. I'm not going to name names but this is a copy of a message I just received regarding a young male I recently placed, yes his name is Pissy as he was such a tiny sickly pup, revived more than once in his first 24hrs of life, so PissAnt stuck Good Afternoon...hope your okay up there... l just wanted to say A HUGE THANK YOU AGAIN... after 35 yrs in dogs....never have l experienced the love from dogs until Pissy arrived... his devotion to both of us and his poultry is amazing... he knows more about me than l do...he is just so happy and this shows in his play... and as he matures...he is only going to get better... and through him l found you...a true good friend of whom l treasure... Anyway...its grooming time for Pissy.. Xx

10.01.2022 Greedy & Popet will be heading to SA later this month to start their new career. Both will be much loved companion/working dogs looking after a small farm in the Adelaide Hills. It's always lovely to see bonded dogs being placed together, seems to lessen the trauma of travelling & when they arrive at their new abode.
