11.01.2022 Excursion to Christmas Hills. We planted, laid irrigation hose, and mulched, before having a swim. The tour of the property showed us a yurt, a mudbrick house, an octoyurt, a refurbished extended house made from a train carriage, superadobe, a cob rocket mass heater, a bore and the desalination thing it needs, grey water netted garden, swales, orchard, tiny houses, canvas covered wagon, compost toilets, and native bushland full of grasses and wildflowers in pristine condition. In the 15 years Tom has had the property, people have kept meticulously to paths, no willy-nilly trampling has occurred. The variety of insect life is outstanding.
