25.01.2022 Before we know it, the school year will be finished and Santa Claus will be gearing up for his busiest night of the year. For some, the end of the school year ...is also the end of an era. 2021 is the year to take #TheNextStep. Whether your child is starting kindergarten, high school, or college next year, there are some changes ahead. This week, we're launching a series of weekly tips to help make this transition time easier for your child and your family. The #ReadyForSchool posts are colour-coded: green circle for kinder kiddos, orange circle for high school, and blue for college. #ReadyForSchool #TheNextStep #TasGovEducation #LearnersFirst

22.01.2022 Just a heads up that information packs from Deloraine High School are being sent home today with those grade 6's who requested one.

17.01.2022 What a year it's been for everyone! We've been especially impressed with our Grade 6 students who have shown great resilience and courage in handling their final year at primary school under such unusual circumstances. We've captured some of their thoughts about the year and their hopes and dreams for next year. Don't forget that permission forms and the $10 payment are due on Friday for the Grade 6 activities and Leavers shirt. You can complete the forms on the School Stream app or see the office for a paper copy. Enjoy!

16.01.2022 Widespread testing of people with cold or flu-like symptoms (even mild) is vital to track and slow the spread of COVID-19. For this reason, a mobile testing ser...vice will be located at Deloraine Community Recreation and Basketball Stadium this weekend. Keep on top of COVID and get tested if you have any symptoms. 05.01.2022 Let's celebrate! This year Deloraine Primary School has 2 finalists in the 2020 MyState Film Festival. The first, a fun little story about friendship, and the second a short documentary on the work of the Tasmanian Mountain Huts Preservation Society. Both short films are in the finals of the Best Tasmanian Junior Films. "Stuck being brave" is also a finalist in the Best use of feature item category with "Tasmanian Mountain Huts" a finalist in the open Documentary category.... It was great to see Fionn in 5/6 collaborate in a high school (Intermediate) entry, "Enter Arko" outside of school. Film making is an authentic literacy task requiring, planning, script writing, creativity, editing, rehearsing, acting, collaboration and the technical aspects of filming and editing. The students also experienced and over come frustration and conflict whilst even still managing to have a little bit of fun! Winners announced during a Live Streamed event on Wednesday 2 December at 10:30 - More details on the My State Film Festival Facebook page/Website The following posts will link to the videos, enjoy! https://youtu.be/uEvinHXalt0

01.01.2022 It was super exciting today to see the new play equipment for Kinder taking shape. Under the watchful eye of Mr Ian Mackenzie, Grade 9 and 10 students who are part of the Packages of Learning - Advanced Manufacturing class, were working hard to bring the pirate ship to life. We can't wait to see the finished project and we're so grateful for the generosity of skills that these Deloraine High School students are sharing with us!
