18.01.2022 The Australian Government has this evening announced the extension of the Human Biosecurity Emergency Period under the Biosecurity Act 2015 by an additional three months. The order, which encompasses restrictions on overseas travel, the entry of cruise ships into Australia, the supply and sale of certain essential goods and retail stores at international airports, will now be in place until 17 December 2020.... The extension of the emergency period was informed by specialist medical and epidemiological advice provided by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC), according to a statement from Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt. The AHPPC has advised that the international and domestic COVID-19 situation continues to pose an unacceptable public health risk, he said. *Courtesy of Travel Daily

11.01.2022 For those that hold Future Cruise Credits, most lines have extended their redemption date/expiry. You can use any of your FCC with Deluxe Travel & Cruise, even if your original booking was direct with the cruise line or online. Azamara ‘Cruise with Confidence’ future cruise credits expire on December 31, 2021 or 12 months from the cancellation date, whichever is further out. Book before this date. ... Following a recent extension, Carnival Cruise Line will allow you to use your credit if you book a cruise before 31 May 2021 for a sailing by 30 April 2023. After this, the credit will expire. Celebrity ‘Cruise with Confidence’ future cruise credits expire on December 31, 2021 or 12 months from the cancellation date, whichever is further out. Book before this date. Coral Expeditions encourages guests to use credit within 24 months. However it can be extended as required. Guests will not have any additional fees or price rises on like-for-like cruises. Future cruise credit with Cunard must be redeemed against any booking made before 31 December 2021. FCC is redeemable for sailing from Singapore on or before 30 September 2021 You must use the future cruise credit towards a future Holland America Line (HAL) cruise booking within 12 months from date of issue or it will be forfeited in its entirety. The itineraries will include off-the-beaten-track voyages around Australia, Commonwealth Bay and Ross Sea (East Antarctica). Destinations will include Tasmania, Kangaroo Island, the Coral Coast, Antarctica (featuring the Ross Sea and Commonwealth Bay), South West Edge, Ningaloo Reef, and the Bass Strait Islands.
