Eat a heart-healthy diet! What is good for your heart is... good for your brain! These include the MIND, Mediterranean, Nordic, Japanese, and DASH diets. Control blood pressure. Treating hypertension, especially in midlife, can reduce risk for cognitive impairment and potentially reduce risk for dementia. Engage your brain! Engaging your brain in lifelong learning of new skills and new activities could contribute to a reduced risk of cognitive decline ** Read the full article here: https://wapo.st/2HDo7Rg

12.01.2022 A fascinating study in Spain has concluded that bilingualism could act as a cognitive reserve factor against dementia. The researchers have followed the evolution of the patients for seven months, in which they have been able to observe that the group of bilinguals has had a lower loss of brain volume and has better maintained their cognitive abilities. This is believed to be due largely to the cognitive stimulation favoured by the alternation between one language and another. ** Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/39u6VsS
