03.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT The start to the new year has provided us with a time of reflection on what has been an amazing journey for This Is Dementia. As a group, we could have never imagined our vision would reach so many local people in such a positive way. It has been a collective effort to work tirelessly, driven by passion, in conjunction with local organisations, to ensure our vision of enhancing the quality of life of those affected by dementia has been achieved. ... Together, we have decided that the best way to achieve our goals going forward is to partner with like-minded organisations, in order to achieve the most positive impact. Partnering with the Dementia Alliance Ballarat, Meg and Brittany will continue to run monthly events aimed at social networking, and normalising the experience of dementia. Together, they will also run educational sessions for students to share their lived experience with dementia. Nick will continue his charity rides, and continue to promote younger onset dementia awareness through his newly founded non-for-profit, the Dementia Project. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the support and encouragement you have all so kindly provided us with on our journey with This Is Dementia. We look forward to continuing to work together in a different capacity, as well as alongside local organisations, and most of all, working with the local community to promote dementia awareness.
