23.01.2022 What a beautiful story! Interact with real people for as long as you can! I had spent an hour in the bank with my dad, as he had to transfer some money. I couldnt resist & asked... Dad, why dont we activate your internet banking?... Why would I do that? He asked... Well, then you wont have to spend an hour here for things like transfer. You can even do your shopping online. Everything will be so easy! I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net banking. He asked If I do that, I wont have to step out of the house? Yes, yes! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now and how amazon delivers everything! His answer left me tongue-tied. He said Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my friends, I have chatted a while with the staff who know me very well by now. You know I am alone...this is the company that I need. I like to get ready and come to the bank. I have enough time, it is the physical touch that I crave. Two years back I got sick, The store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my bedside and cried. When your Mom fell down few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live. Would I have that human touch if everything became online? Why would I want everything delivered to me and force me to interact with just my computer? I like to know the person that Im dealing with and not just the seller. It creates bonds of Relationships. Does Amazon deliver all this as well? Technology isnt life.. Spend time with people .. Not with devices. Writer: Unknown

This van has new younger owners who bought the van because of the sticker wanting to live the same way as the previous owners! Absolutely love this story! ... Everyone should.... Adventure before Dementia No matter how you choose to live the adventure!

12.01.2022 I went and had a look at the new Opal Facility opening in about a month and its looking great - cant wait to see it all finished. If you have a loved one needing more care you really need to have a look. Remember not all people who move into care have dementia or need to be in a secure unit, sometimes they are just ageing and need the extra support and friendhships - this place is more like a hotel

08.01.2022 I find it interesting that the new videos coming out from the police dept about keeping those living with dementia safe from wandering and getting lost -- they say in all of them to encourage the person to keep their phone on them or to make sure they wear a pendant or something that has a GPS tracker SERIOUSLY !!!! If they had the cognitive abilities to do this they wouldnt be wandering and getting lost. I have a great idea... PUT THINGS INTO PLACE OR CONSIDER CARE OPTIONS -THAT IS WHAT WILL KEEP THEM SAFE.

02.01.2022 Over the last few days I have been training aged care workers within aged care facilities - during this I find out some have no family or family very hard up and the elderly residents need new underwear and clothing If anyone is in kmart or target doing shopping and you can spare $10 or $20 to buy a gift card - i will be trying to get these elderly residents some new items next week Please let me know if you can help xx

02.01.2022 I have had some people touch base about the videos of my mum yesterday saying she looks well and she cant be in her last stages of her life - my mum will always look great even at the end!! Dementia patients dont always look sick but the disease is silent... knowledge is power
