An iconic Gold Coast landmark, the Jupiters Casino and Hotel refurbishment was a multi-staged, 12 month project, delivered as part of the $345 million dollar transformation. This project was all about precision and paying attention to detail. It required coordination of multiple crews working 12 hour shifts to complete the scope of work, always balancing productivity, efficiency and safety. ... Delivered via rolling skilled teams of labourers, floor and senior management, at any period during the project, DEMEX worked on four levels simultaneously. While 2020 certainly has thrown us all a curve ball and hasnt exactly kicked off to the promise of a shiny new decade the world was all hoping for, we are very humbled to say that during these turbulent times DEMEX has been afforded the opportunity to bring on new and additional staff members to assist with the workload. We are putting the finishing touches on our newest expansion of our head office, which we often refer to as the engine room of our business, making space for 4 additional desks and plenty of much needed storage! Although we are acutely aware that things could change at any minute, our team are our family, and we are collectively working towards the same goals to achieve continued success across the board

DEMEX were engaged to dismantle and remove the old, and since replaced, pedestrian footbridge in the Veterans of South East Asian Wars Park by Currumbin Creek. East Coast Cranes assisted with the heavy lifting after the bridge was disconnected from its footings. With the rain pouring down, and an audience of school children on their way home for the day, the team waited patiently for the perfect break in the rain to lift the bridge and place it into nearby carpark ready for dismantling and transportation. These amazing shots were captured by chance by passing photographer John McInnes.

10.01.2022 For 86 years, the heritage-listed Binna Burra Lodge in the Gold Coast hinterland has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world. Surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park in Queenslands Scenic Rim the landmark was extensively damaged by bushfires which ravaged the area in September 2019. The lodge was the areas biggest employer before it burnt down. DEMEX has been tasked with clearing the area in preparation for the resort hoping... to welcome guests back in August. As a local and capable contractor, DEMEX has been invested in the project from the very beginning; working with the key stakeholders to ensure minimal disturbance to the flora and fauna, following the already devastating effects of the bushfire. The project has presented some access hurdles, however with plenty of planning and open communication, the team have been able to amend the program to suit all. While working at heights has been taken to a whole new meaning, safety is certainly paramount with the multiple complexities and considerations to various trades all operating around and below our works.
