24.01.2022 Not everything is always perfect at the gardens, but I guess it all depends on how you look at it.

24.01.2022 The birthday celebrations are less than a week away. Can you dig it.

23.01.2022 The Gardens team dropped these boxes of vegetables in to the Uniting church for their Tuesday food distribution as we do most weeks. It is even more important now of course that our most vulnerable have access to healthy food. If you have excess veggies please consider contacting any of the nongovernmental organizations to get them out there.

22.01.2022 We will come through this by looking out for one another so call a friend find out how they're going. These flower seedlings will be planted out in the next few weeks for beautiful late winery and spring colour (and insect enjoyment! All the best form the Gardens team PS why not post your garden photos too?

21.01.2022 The cold weather isn't slowing Gardens opium production this year

19.01.2022 Yay Gardeners It might be a good time to renew our relationships - with weeds! All our vegetables have wild cousins and many are still with us but we ony know them as weeds. However most are edible and many have more vitamins and minerals than their more refined brethren. This selection from the carrot bed contains purslane wild lettuce nettle sow whistle and fat hen I will make stock from the nettle and steam the rest. There are good online resources for identifying and using your weeds Make sure you put Australia in your search terms.

17.01.2022 Virus or no virus the garlic still has to be planted( as if Canny needed an excuse to get out in the garden!)

17.01.2022 As we arent at the Gardens as much at the moment the chooks are having a change of scenery . As you can see one of them is keen to help unload the compost bucket as Canny tries to plant out some globe artichokes!

13.01.2022 A super huge thank you to all the people who dropped in and helped us celebrate our 20th birthday today. Seeing the diversity of people who use the gardens as well as all the children was the absolute best. To all the people who have helped the Gardens in any small way, or use the Gardens to help in their own personal way. Please keep doing it. See you all next year for what should be a great 21st birthday party.
