24.01.2022 With the latest restrictions coming from the South Australian government all Touch Football in South Australia is now cancelled due to the latest COVID-19 restr...ictions and the cancellation of Community sports fixtures and training, both indoor and outdoor. These directions will be in place for two weeks from midnight 16th November. This includes all Touch Football competitions in South Australia, with the cancellation of affiliate competitions and TFSA League fixtures over this two week period. We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will update members as soon as more information becomes available. Be assured we will do everything we can to start playing Touch Football again. In the meantime, stay safe and well.

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone I’m hoping we get the all clear to return next Wednesday. I’m lead to believe that the restrictions will be lifted from Midnight on Tuesday 1st December allowing community sports to play. If so, we will get 3 rounds in before our Christmas Break. Plans are to have a BBQ on the 16th to celebrate Christmas and the up coming break so hopefully that can happen. ... It will also be our last night for Juniors and we’ll be doing a Sausage Sizzle for those ones earlier. Let’s hope it all can happen. While I’ve got you. 21.01.2022 Hi Everyone Ive not been informed that we cant proceed so we are still proceeding with our planned games, AGM and Presentations. Please note; We wont have more than 100 there at one time We will make sure all our activities are held outside. ... We will be spraying the Touch Balls with Glenn 20 regularly throughout the games. After games Id strongly recommend players wash their hands and keep that social distance happening. Players should not attend if feeling unwell. I do hope it can all happen but will understand if players or teams dont want to participate. At this stage I have only had two teams forfeit and Ive heard that some players will not be available. Like I say!! Im hoping it all can get wrapped up tonight and its a good night for everyone involved.

We are having the Honourable James Stevens MP visiting us tonight at the clubrooms to see the Trailer and Playing Tops we obtained from our Federal Grant. If youre available to come out for a 7.00pm presentation that be great. The clubrooms upstairs are opening up for us so be good to see a few there!!... Summer starts very soon Juniors on the 7th of October Seniors on the 14th of October Nominate now if looking to play!!!

20.01.2022 On behalf of Demons Touch Football Association we would like to pass on our deepest Condolences to the Ogden Family in these very difficult times. Jess and James who play for our Division 2 Premiers,Fruit Salad, lost their Grand Father Roger Leaney tragically to COVID 19 after contracting it on the Ruby Princess. Very sad news and our thoughts and prayers are with them and their family.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to all the Demons Respresentative and Players participating in the Junior Alliance cup this weekend at City Touch. Final Results from the first Junior Alliance Cup: Both 13s Divisions were a best of 3 games series between SA and NT. These divisions were also involved in a mixed day where each team split in half to form 2 teams.... Under 13 Boys - SA 3 - 0 NT Under 13 Girls - SA 3 - 0 NT 16 Boys Division was a best of 3 between two SA teams. SA Vipers were also involved in the 13s division, but ineligible for that age groups finals. SA Wolves were involved in the 18s division. SA Wolves 3 - 0 SA Vipers 16 Girls Division, SA Stingrays, TAS and VIC were all in contention to make the Grand Final coming into the last round game. SA Scorpions finished 4th however, improved tremendously throughout the weekend. Grand Final: SA Stingrays 6 - 5 TAS. Getting up in a drop off which went to 3v3!! 18 Boys Division after VIC beating SA Roosters in both round games. 3v4 Playoff: SA Wolves 16s 5 - 3 NT 18s Grand Final: SA Roosters 18s 5 - 4 VIC. Winning in a dropoff, with the drop off score being 2 - 1!!! 18 Girls Division after making up games this morning due to losing rounds yesterday from the heat. Grand Final: SA 5 - 3 VIC. SA girls finishing the tournament undefeated! SA with the clean sweep across all divisions!!!

20.01.2022 Games and AGM will continue as planned 18/03/20 **Important News** Coronavirus(COVID-19)... Hi All Until we are told otherwise from Touch Australia or Touch SA. At this stage Demons Touch Football is planning to go ahead with this week's games and the AGM. We should follow the good practices of social distancing and to help slow the spread, the Australian Government has advised, effective from Monday 16 March, organised, non-essential gatherings should be limited to 500 people. The Prime Minister today mentioned this is for Static gathering, meaning an enclosed area. Therefore this shouldn't affect us as we are outdoor sports, we are holding the AGM in an open area to limit the risk and have sanitiser available. We ask if anyone is feeling unwell to please don't take part just to be on the safe side. We will monitor the situation regularly as this situation is changing daily. 17.01.2022 What a great night to wrap up 2020!! Huge thank you to everyone who helped especially our BBQ men Alby, Simon, Brenton and Janet who coordinated the food, drinks and ice creams and Stella who manned the Canteen, PJ and family helping with set up and everyone who helped with packing up. It was a big night for sure but we were blessed with perfect weather!!! We’d be lost if we didn’t have our helpers, referee’s and you guys. Doesn’t happen without your support!!... It was a bit different spacing out the presentations to be COVIDSAFE but it did make it easier to spread the food service out so that was good. We opted for Rebel Sports Vouchers as participation awards and I reckon they were a big hit. Great to have Michael Sheeky and Jack out from Rebel Sport to help with Presentations. Don’t forget to tell Rebel Sports your tied to Demons Touch Fooball Association when purchasing your stuff as it helps support us as well. 16.01.2022 Hi Everyone I hope you are all well and staying safe!! We have decided in light of these extraordinary times that we will not host a Winter Competition this season. They are forecasting a very cold and wet winter and given the circumstances its probably best to stay safe and dry and not put ourselves and our players in any jeopardy. Therefore we will be playing shorter 20min turn around games so we can get all games in. We will still have 5 V 6 at 6.30pm ... Then our AGM / Presentations at 6.55pm Then games recommence straight afterwards. PROPOSED TIMES 7.20pm Division 2 Semis 7.45pm Division 1 Semis 8.10pm Div 2 GF 8.35pm Div 1 GF Please make sure you let all your team members know Ideally Id love to see everyone there for the AGM/Presentations at 6.55pm so if we can make that happen that be greatly appreciated!!! Very Sorry about all the stuffing around and I do hope we can make this happen. Thank you for your understanding and support. What the future holds is still up in the air and we dont know if Winter Season will happen at this stage. But we will keep you posted. 11.01.2022 Well we got a bit of a taste of our new venue for Touch Football when we hosted the Northern Vipers presentation night at CMO’s Community Hall. Definitely something we will enjoy. Congratulations to all the MVP’s and Coaches Awards it was good to be able to acknowledge their efforts and the efforts of the Northern Vipers Administrators who contributed to winning the Permit Championships along with the Women’s and Mixed Teams taking out their division premierships!! Go u Vipers!!! New kits look great!!

09.01.2022 Last Weekend Demons Representative entered a team into the Your Podiatrist Cup in Mount Gambier and we took out the Social Mixed Division. Well done Nathan Lenic wining Most Valuable Player Overall in the Mixed. Be great to get more teams involved next year and we get put our Demons Trailer to good use.

09.01.2022 Thank you everyone who came in and supported our FISH AND CHIPS night. We did about 30 meals, not too bad for our first effort. We’ll host another meal night on the last Wednesday in February. Probably a Schnitzel Night. Big thank you to Janet for doing the meals and everyone else who helped out. ... The pre ordering worked well with not a long wait. So we’ll use that again for sure!! Thank you to our refreshments donators. Their support helps us immensely. 09.01.2022 Hi Everybody, Summer Season for Demons Touch Football Association - Junior Touch Football Competition 2020 is back for 10 Weeks Come and Try / Registration Day 7th October 2020 from 5.15pm.... There is NO CHARGE to attend the Come and Try Day as we want the children to have a go and see if they like it; However we will ask all parents / guardians to record all name on an attendance sheet when you arrive (COVID19 Requirements), so we have a record of who has attended; What happens from the Come and Try Day is we get our teams finalised and from that we organise the program for the following weeks; Game times will be 5.15pm or 5.50pm, we will be using two fields. In our Junior Competition the coaches are allowed on the field to help direct the players and encourage them, which has worked really well in the past; Cost is $85 including Team Top, if youre using the Sports Voucher for the first time this calendar year, you will need to fill out a voucher, which we can supply you on the day. Please make sure you bring your child's Medicare number with you. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information. 04.01.2022 Congratulations to Stella for being awarded the Premiers Certificate in Recognition for Outstanding Volunteer Service. Well done Stella, who as you all know, is our Financial Controller and has been for several years now. Stella is one of DTFAs main Administration people and helps out every night with setting up, packing up, time keeping and whatever else needs to be done. ... Stella also is our liaison with the Sporting Bodies at Campbelltown Memorial Oval and has helped us be included in the new set up which is great for us. Stella has even put on the boots and played which was great to see. Stella volunteers not only for Demons Touch Football Association but also for Northern Vipers and at other STATE held Touch Football Events such as Australian Masters and is now a very well known representative of the Touch Football Community!! 02.01.2022 ALL GAMES CANCELED FOR TWO WEEKS Hi Everyone As you may all be aware the State Government has imposed restrictions on ALL SPORTING ACTIVITIES from midnight tonight.... We are therefore cancelling our games for the next two weeks in line with the restrictions and we hope to resume on Wednesday 2nd December (all being well). We will notify you, if anything changes, as soon as we know. I hope we can see everyone back playing before the Christmas Break. Please stay safe!!

02.01.2022 Hi Everyone Hope you are all keeping safe and havent been touched by this dreaded virus. (Excuse the pun). We can only hope that they can stop the spread and we can go back to normality!!!... It will very disappointing if we cant get it happening this year, especially being our 25th Anniversary. Well we will definitely remember this year regardless!!! We wish you, your families and all your friends all best for the future and hope and pray they arent affected by all this!!! Hopefully well be back for our Summer Competition in October!! I personally cant see Winter getting up and running so thats what well be aiming for at least. Good to have a goal. 01.01.2022 Well it looks like it will be a nice night. As highlighted earlier we will hold the AGM straight after the first round of games and well hold it outside rather than inside. Hopefully we can get that done ASAP so we can resume our games. We dont know what the future holds and we will be governed by what TOUCH SA and TOUCH FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA instruct us on what to do. Everyone should have received an email re the precautions to take and we hope everyone does the right thi...ng, especially if not feeling well. It puts a bit of a dampener on everything but better to be safe than sorry!!! Thank you for your support!!
