23.01.2022 Good Afternoon Demons, Given the current Social Distancing and prevention measures being implemented relating to the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), the Demons Committee has decided it is in the best interests of all involved to cancel the 19/20 Presentation night. Awards will be announced via the Demons Basketball Facebook page on 26 March 2020 and trophies will be available for collection from the Guthrie St Primary School office.... We will continue to keep you updated with information relating to Basketball related activities as they come to hand from Basketball Victoria and the Greater Shepparton Basketball Association. 20.01.2022 **REMINDER** Annual General Meeting (AGM) - Demons Basketball Club This coming Monday October 14th, 7:30pm at The Peppermill Hotel, Melbourne Rd, Kialla. Finger food will be provided, drinks are at bar prices. Following, there will be a brief committee meeting.... The AGM will hear the year that was for the Demons Club, and include election of office bearers. All positions are vacant, and we would encourage you all to consider becoming involved in your children's club. Now is the time to jump on board and get involved! Please RSVP your attendance to [email protected] for catering purposes.

18.01.2022 Hi all, The Demons club presentation night will be held at Guthrie St Primary School on Thursday 26th March 5:30pm - 6:30pm . Can you please let all your team manager/coach know how many in your family are coming so that we can cater food/drink etc. Please also return you bball tops that night if you forget to give it to your coach after your teams last game too. 18.01.2022 There are some changes to the draw as there are many on school camps , Deb practice and also some injury issues The changes have effected the following grades Under 10 Girls... Under 16 Div 1 Boys Under 18 Div 1 Boys Youth Girls Div 1 Monday February 24th 2020 will be our last round before finals , round 18 will be not be played as we must be playing the semi finals on Monday March 2nd as Monday March 9th is the Public holiday - Labor day Grand Final Super Sunday is on again this year , book this day in your calenders - Sunday March 22nd 2020 the next season Starts on Monday April 27th 2020!

16.01.2022 Hi everyone, The proposed start to the Summer season will now be Mon 5th October. Depending on what happens with Covid restrictions, we will look to have some training sessions 3 weeks prior to this so we can encourage some new players to come and try and also assist with team selection. Div1 U14 girls 6.00pm Div2 U14 girls 5.00pm... Div3 U12 boys 6.00pm Also please give your playing tops to your coach to drop off at your school office or bring to presentation night

16.01.2022 Just a quick update for everyone. We will send out info next week following an intra club meeting with the GSBA this Thursday evening. At this stage, return to competition will be Term 1 next year. However we will need to organise teams etc with grading/training pre Xmas. 14.01.2022 Hi everyone, Round 4 draw is up on the GSBA website. Please check your teams timeslot as there are a few changes. U12 Div2 blue girls are now in Div1. U12 Div Boys Div1 blue are now in Div2.

13.01.2022 Hi to all our valued members, Our committee have decided against participating in the proposed Winter 2020 season. We feel an August 3rd start date is an unrealistic timeframe to get a whole club organised and on the court (this includes getting registrations, putting players in teams, finding coaches, team managers and organising singlets). ... We do not feel it’s fair to ask our players to pay Basketball Victoria insurances and club fees for such a short 6 week season (with likely no finals). We are conscious of the financial strain COVID-19 has put on our players families. We would be open to finishing off the 19-20 Summer Competition by playing the semi and grand finals if the teams involved want to. This proposal will have to be at the discretion of the current CoM at the GSBA. We are keen to run skills sessions or small sided games/practice matches (inter-club and intra-club) to keep our players engaged and also provide opportunity for new players to come and try. We believe we are making this decision in the best interest our basketball community. Watch this space for updates. Please message us at [email protected] if you would like to discuss anything. 06.01.2022 Hi everybody, It looks like Junior Domestic Basketball will be aiming to start the first week of August (all going well). Please keep your eyes on this page for the registration link over the weekend or early next week.... It will be a short 6-7 week season. It will be great to get our kids back on the court and also the perfect opportunity for kids thinking about playing to have a go. We will send out details with the link as soon as it’s sorted. Could all coaches/players please drop off any playing jerseys to Kialla West, Guthrie St Primary School or 1 Arcadia Downs Drive Kialla (front door drop off) ASAP. Please be Covid Safe aware, if you drop them at the schools please have them sealed in a bag, named and your child must take them in to the office as schools do not allow parents onsite.

03.01.2022 Just wanted to thank this little group of champs (Div1U14) and their parents for a great season! Thank you so much for my thank you gift which was much appreciated but definitely not why I help out coaching . See you all later in the year at the courts!

03.01.2022 We are sorry to report that playing the last Summer season finals are no longer deemed viable. We would like to congratulate our teams that made the unplayed finals. U12 Div 3 Boys team Cade,Brock, Benji, Hunter, Tighe, Travis, Josh, Chas U14 Div 1 Girls team Holly, Lucy, Emily, Sienna, Matilda, Brianna, Hannah Our club is very proud of your efforts, thank you for your excellence on and off the court We hope you all keep practising your skills and ready to go for the coming Summer season. 01.01.2022 SUMMER SEASON UPDATE GSBA Timeline and Return to Play Plan A (25/10) and Plan B (23/11) only if indoor contact sport is allowed to go ahead.... Plan A will proceed if restrictions lift prior to 25th Oct. Summer Season Competition grading phase to start no later than November 16th, allowing 3 weeks minimum for Club Registrations, tryouts etc. Season to restart beginning of Term 1, 2021 & conclude at the end of Term 1, 2021 This allows 4 weeks of games prior to Christmas School Holidays. Plan B will proceed if restrictions lift no later than November 23rd. This means the Summer Season Competition will start in Term 1, 2021 and ending at the conclusion of Term 1, 2021. There is a chance that there will be a competition in 3 weeks prior to School Holidays (3X3), this won’t be club based , it will be run through the GSBA at the Shepp Sports stadium. We will keep you updated as best we can. Keep well and keep practising!

01.01.2022 Demons Basketball Club are manning the Guthrie St Stadium this weekend for the Shepparton Basketball Tournament. We need a volunteer to man the school stadium on Sunday from 9:30am till 11:30am. Please contact us ASAP if you are able to help. Thank you in advance.
