22.01.2022 This image is a close up of the layers in our lion piece, each wall art piece is made from 6 layers which are then sanded, assembled and glued to create an awesome wooden relief sculpture! Today I just finished putting together a postage and storage box for my largest wall art pieces which are 60cm x 60cm so I needed an adequately big box! 19.01.2022 We are live! Almost one year ago I quit my job as a scientist. I didn’t really have a plan for what I was going to do next but I decided that the traditional workplace wasn’t the place for me. I searched around for a PhD position but I couldn’t find anything that I could see myself dedicating the next 3 years towards. Something that has always been by my side is art, whether it be performing or visual, I’ve always had a creative outlet. It’s time I followed my passion. Th...e first job I ever dreamed of was to be an artist and now I’ve made that my reality. Today I launch my small business called Dendritika which is a true collision of art and technology. I’ve worked hard to design my products, use my laser cutter, learn about business and marketing and build a website. 14.01.2022 If you look closely into this owl, how many layers of depth can you see? I’m slowly getting better at photographing my layered pieces so that you can get an idea of how complex they are! That being said, this Saturday you will have the first chance to see my pieces in person! 09.01.2022 It’s crazy to think about, but right here in this image is hundreds of hours of work! Now that my launch date has been set I’m starting to get even more excited about the prospect of people wearing my jewellery and displaying my artwork in their homes. It’s absolutely inspiring and is motivating me to work hard each day I’m also really trying to build my emailing list so that as many people can be involved in the launch as possible! Saturday is the day where I just let all my creative juices flow, make a cup of tea and have some fun sketching! I never intended to do any product design but sometimes it just happens! PS.
