22.01.2022 Longer wait time for migrants for certain Centrelink benefits as part of new budget savings measures - maybe this will pay for some more postal surveys? https://www.sbs.com.au//migrants-wait-three-years-welfare-

12.01.2022 I don't usually post about case law but if you are interested in character test issues, have a read of this one (it's long so you probably won't read it...). Keywords: Iraqi refugee, 14 offences in Au, receives warning about potential visa cancellation if more offences committed in future, 14 more offences, false claims about being in a homosexual partner relationship (was married with 4 kids "at least"), plus a few more issues... He just won an AAT appeal and his visa is not cancelled. http://www.austlii.edu.au//au/cases/cth/AATA/2018/416.html

02.01.2022 On this dual citizenship "crisis" I wondered if the Australian Electoral Commission can play a role in checking candidates eligibility. So I looked at their website (which is how lawyers do their research...) and it states the AEC doesnt have the authority to conduct eligibility checks because the Attorney Generals Dept "administers the Constitution". Great.
02.01.2022 Very good. Govt should just move on now, and not push this issue.
