16.01.2022 To help the local community response to COVID-19 Deniliquin Clinic has set up a respiratory clinic to test for COVID-19. With the flu season upon us, more people will experience flu-like symptoms and it is important more than ever to make sure that COVID-19 is not spreading within our community. 15.01.2022 Just letting all of our patients know that we are still open and all four doctors are available for appointments. Things may have changed a little, Patients are now receiving text messages before their appointments. Which help doctors assess whether your appointment can be done via phone or person. All patients are being bulked billed during COVID-19, this reduces handling of money and reducing the time spent in the surgery. This also helps with patients receiving consul...tations via telephone and payments. Patients are being asked to stay in your cars until the doctor calls you instead of lots of patients in the waiting room. More protective measures such as sanitising hands and COVID-19 screening. Thank you for being such an understanding community while we get through this. We can't thank you enough.

13.01.2022 URGENT REMINDER To all of Deni Please share this message as much as we can.... Covid-19 processes remain in place should you have symptoms which could be Covid related. It has been brought to our attention that Deni hospital ED are having increasing presentations with cold & flu like symptoms. When this happens it places an enormous strain on the service as this requires isolation, 1-1 nursing, usage of PPE and terminal cleans by HealthShare. What that means is to see the person presenting is that they need to be assessed and treated as having Covid. We would like to remind people that if you have any flu like symptoms you should be : 1. Isolating 2. Call the 1800 831 099 Covid-19 hotline for an assessment and to arrange a test with a clinic. This number is manned 7 days a week. They will tell you if you need to go to ED. People should not be presenting to ED or their GP with flu-like symptoms at this stage. 3. Or call Deniliquin Clinic on their Covid mobile number 0481 531 438 to arrange an appointment Monday to Friday. They provide Covid testing Monday to Friday. These clinics have been set up specifically to safeguard clinics and hospitals. Patients with any of the following symptoms are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to attend the clinic: - Fever - Dry cough - Sore throat - Runny or stuffy nose - Shortness of breath Patients with any of the following symptoms may also make an appointment to attend the clinic: - Loss of taste or smell - Aches and pains - Headache - Conjunctivitis - Diarrhoea - A rash on skin or discoloration of fingers or toes Let’s keep safe. Let’s keep helping our community and the health services involved in keeping us safe.

12.01.2022 Please share DO WE REALLY GET IT DENI? Did you know that a large number of Covid-19 tests in Deniliquin is currently returning a positive test for Rhino vir...us. ( cold virus) This is highly infectious and at this stage, with increasing presentations, is probably indicative of the easing up of restrictions, and people not being as vigilant with regards to social distancing and social isolation. This is a hard one ... knowing what to do. Many people feel life needs to carry on. And of course, it does. What we would like to reiterate though is this : If you have any flu like symptoms or even what you might think is a common cold, please stay home. Do not go to work. Do not send your children to school. Do not go to the gym. Do not go to the weekend BBQ. Arrange a test ASAP. ( details below) Unless you get tested for the Covid-19 virus you have no way of telling whether you have it or not. You might think you are only passing on the common cold. It might be the case. But it might not be. It might only take one undiagnosed Covid-19 contact , changing the Covid free landscape for Deni. Of course we know people can be treated and will be supported medically should this be the case. But we can all continue to be responsible and vigilant to help prevent this. Self isolate and organise a test. Testing is readily and easily available for free in Deniliquin. This is a small sacrifice to make in keeping yourself, your family and the community safe. Each and every one of us have a responsibility. Please Let’s Keep Deni Safe.

08.01.2022 The COVIDSafe app is part of our work to slow the spread of COVID-19. Having confidence we can find and contain outbreaks quickly will mean governments can ease restrictions while still keeping Australians safe. The new COVIDSafe app is completely voluntary. Downloading the app is something you can do to protect you, your family and friends and save the lives of other Australians. The more Australians connect to the COVIDSafe app, the quicker we can find the virus.
