11.01.2022 #5 BEACH TO BEACH RIVERSIDE WALK, DENILIQUIN Starting the walk at McLean Beach, follow the path along the banks of the Edward River past magnificent red gum tre...es and sandy beaches. Head past the hospital, police station, and medical centre to the Ute on the Pole. Continue under the National Bridge before hitting a diversion at the back of the Peppin Heritage Centre, bringing you to the new Reutilise ute sculpture and the Long Paddock sculpture called ‘Shod’. Pass the sculptures and head down the ramp to the Island Sanctuary. Keep an eye for out for the birds, kangaroos, wallabies and beautiful trees as you take a stroll through the bushland in the heart of town. On the other side of the Island Sanctuary you will continue past the first town water supply tower and remnants of where a steam-powered engine once was before entering the Murray Valley Regional Park. Along the walk, keep an eye out for Kindness Rocks painted rocks which you are welcome to add to or relocate for others to find. 03.01.2022 We are so excited to hear the announcement by the Victorian Government, that the hard lock down on the VIC/NSW border will be loosened as from 6pm tonight. What this means for our Victorian guests is reverting back to pre NYE, you only need to obtain a permit to enter back into Victoria on your return. A simple 5 minute form through the Service Victoria website. A Covid test is also required on return. For those of you who had bookings with us going forward who have cancelled and have credit notes, we would love to see you Please call reception to reinstate your booking.
