14.01.2022 BESWICK porcelain statue of a Welsh Mountain Pony, modelled on Coed Coch Madog, one of the leading Welsh pony stallions and a pony who has had a very big influence on the Welsh pony breed. He features in the bloodlines of many Welsh ponies here in Australia. It was made by Beswick's leading porcelain sculptor, Grahame Tongue. It was a special edition model, made principally for the Beswick Collectors Club, first released in 2000 and limited to approx. 500. It is 21cm high, is in perfect condition. $450 including post. The Crabbet Arabian Stud Its History and Influence by Rosemary Archer, Colin Pearson and Cecil Covey, published in 1978 is the classic text on the Arabian horse in the western world. This copy is not perfect - the dust jacket is a bit tatty and there is a printing fault - pages 33 - 48 have been put in upside down and back to front! Apart from that, it is in excellent condition and the hard cover is unmarked.
