05.01.2022 Over-thinking can kill creativity Too much creative self-analysis can result in anxiety. Learn not to judge or imitate the work of others, and above all, avoid ...harshly judging your work while you are in the act of creating it. Over-thinking will most likely interrupt your joyful, inventive flow. Instead, I advise seeking mental stillness and physical solitude when you’re exploring your artistic ingenuity. Try not to visualise how you might frame it with or which wall you will hang it on, or even worse how much your may sell it for. Just go with the flow and let your creative ingenuity take you where it will. When you are in a calm, meditative psychological and physical state, creativity should arise much more freely and expand into other areas of your life as your self-confidence grows. You will know when this happens because others will comment on this ‘new you’. There is good news! Our creative life purpose can act as a signpost, a trusted friend and even a battering ram if needs be. And we can revisit it time and again. I cover this topic and much more on my Masterclass - https://www.steveparish-natureconnect.com.au/online-photog/ Photo of Steve Parish by Michele Pocknee #lifepurpose #photography #wildplaces #natureconnect #queensland
