18.01.2022 What a busy day we had today. 3 different lots of local visitors which we were more than happy to show through the museum.Cataloguing, restoration and those bri...cks that started at 400 and grew to 800 are now almost cleaned.Anyone who even glanced in their direction has been given the opportunity to chip away some lime mortar. For me the hi-light was Dave allowing me to look at his incredible Atlas of NSW printed in 1886.Published by John Sands, Sydney.I would like to thank him for allowing me to share one of the images illustrated by Ch Turner with this group. I will include what is written at the bottom of the 1886 image. ' Lyre-bird . Native Cat . Opossum . Bandicoot . Koala or Native Bear . Flying Fox . Wombat . Spiny Ant-eater . Laughing Jackass . Flying Squirrel . Kangaroo . Wallaby . Platypus . Cockatoo . Carpet Snake . Black Swan . Dingo or Native Dog Native companion '.
