24.01.2022 Last weekend the Black Dog Ride together with Denmark Lions ran a very successful Mental Health First Aid Training session, bringing the number of qualified Mental Health First Aiders in Denmark and surrounding communities up to 136. We aim to start a conversation to raise awareness of Depression and Suicide prevention. Our facilitators Erica Sayer and Keith DaSilva have the knack of presenting what is often a very heavy subject whilst also bring a little lightness to the roo...m. Participants learn skills to give them the confidence to know what to say and do to give support when someone they care about is struggling with Mental Health challenges. A number of these MHFAiders are due to renew their qualification. Black Dog Ride will be working together with Denmark Lions and Kristen Haefner, the Suicide Prevention Coordinater for Albany, to host One Day Refresher Courses. If you would like more information on Mental Health First Aid Training or the Refresher courses please contact Bev Seeney on 98409036 or email [email protected]

With scenery unlike a...nywhere else, this secluded little spot off the coast of Denmark will have you swooning as my_vision_photography did. This capture marks the spot where forests of towering trees give way to white sandy beaches. We trust you can see why we'll never get sick of these views! About time you #wanderoutyonder, isn't it? https://bit.ly/2ZLgimx See more

We will continue our Cemetery cleaning work and our garden bags. We will also be trying to do what we can to help the community at large in whatever way we can. If you need help or know someone that does please let us know. Pm to the page or contact a Lions member.
