25.01.2022 For those in Denmark who are concerned re the smoke haze, we have been advised that smoke coming into Denmark is from the existing Northcliffe/Broke Inlet fires.

Im looking for old farm, household, shop and medical equipment, machinery, school items, old timber boxes, etc. to place around Strickland Street. 14.01.2022 Well, the Centenary Time Capsule is now buried in Kwoorabup Community Park. Thank you to Councillors, staff, representatives of community groups and members of the Denmark Community who attended the Ceremony on Saturday. Plaques for the Time Capsule, Grove of Trees and Individual Trees will be appearing in the park over the next weeks. Thanks to Ben and Dave from the Depot Crew who assisted in placing the time capsule. Thanks too for Josh from the Albany Advertiser for attending!
14.01.2022 Check out the Shire of Denmark WA Centenary Celebrations and like us to keep up to date with our events. The big weekend of the 16-18th September includes the launch of "Bloody Hippies!" (the movie), the Denmark Street Festival including a people street parade, music, stalls, Denmark Primary P & C Street Fair, Vintage Cars and heaps more.
12.01.2022 Norm Thornton Park Plaque was unveiled this afternoon with afternoon tea at the Pavilion in the Park and was attended by the Thornton family, members of the Denmark Historic Society, Denmark locals and special thanks to members of the local horse riding club who stayed to enjoy the ceremony!
12.01.2022 There is plenty of opportunity for you to join in the Centenary Celebrations - we still have stall/historic display space available for the Street Festival, join the People Street Parade, make a quilt square for the Fabric of Denmark Quilt, donate an item for the Time Capsule, enjoy the photo display at the Visitors Centre and attend the many activities over the Back to Denmark Weekend 16-18 Sept. 05.01.2022 What is your favourite photo from the Denmark Visitors Centre display? I am tossing up between two - the biplane on Ocean Beach or the photo depicting a well dressed woman walking along the train tracks after alighting from the train. There is also a visitors book to sign so when you have a look at the display, feel free to sign and comment in the visitors book! Enjoy the display. Jen, Centenary Project Co-ordinator

Photos from the Denmark Historical Society depicting moments from the early 1900s onwards....., photos of Denmark Road Board and Shire Offices, the Mary Rose Cart is also on display - there is lots to see so go have a look!
