Oliver completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Anatomical Sciences before finishing medical school at UWA. He moved to the Northern Territory after his internship for two years and loved working in remote hospitals, which sparked his interest in rural generalism. Oli’s family has had a farm in Denmark for over 20 years, so he is looking forward to finally having the opportunity to work in Denmark. After a long wait Hector finally received his Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) from The Honourable Kim Beazely AC, Governor of Western Australia in a ceremony held on Tuesday at Government House. Hector received this honour in the 2019 Queens Birthday Honours for his service to medicine through a range of roles.
